The talk of lsu winning 5 to 9 games is mostly trolling I assume, but those that really believe that are nuts .

The level of recruiting lsu is doing on a national scale is unprecedented at the school and pretty much everywhere. I don't know that a school gets more players from more random places then lsu.
This is most definitely the ed o effect , according to the book meat market, him and his coaches outworked everyone and that was at ole miss. The point is that the days of less then ten wins are over.

You can just look at all the talent coming back and see that our roster is at a level much higher then some of the better lsu teams. I'd say the roster is the best it's been since 2011 .
The 2011 team had a horrible offensive identity and qb play too .still went undefeated till the championship game. Obviously the 2019 team was a better roster then this one .

So the roster is as good as last year ,on defense ,imo. There's always a chance that the change hurts us ,but Idk ,bo pelini won't put up with the stuff aranda did at the beginning of the year. All of the bad angles and the safety play,he will make us better on d.

Then you got on offense ,easily the most talented arm we have had since Russell. He may not be burrow ,but he has traits that burrow has and more arm strength .not that he will be as good, its just good to know what he's capable of.

The QB recruiting has been the best I can remember at lsu over the next couple years and even last years class has qb talent. We just landed Walker Howard ,he's as close as u can get to being a 5 star and he hasn't even started a game in high school yet.iirc. that's crazy to rate a non starter that high but he's been great at camps.

The last reason that the floor for lsu has risen ,is because after seeing our offense last year coach o will never be satisfied again. Were gonna run that offense from last year until someone can stop it,then add to it.im sure we will do that anyway though.it doesn't matter if its coach e ,scott l ,or someone else. The offense has been established and installed . This will be brennan's 2nd year in the offense burrow had one year only. Wee saw brennan enough to see the talent ,agree?
All he has to do is take care of the ball and throw to chase and Marshal or one of our backs like 5 star Emery or highest rated tight end in known recruiting history in arik Gilbert.

Lsu will be fine

I read 5 lines and got tbe gist of this rantard. Quit reading after that!

LSU has enough talent to easily beat the bottom 7 of the SEC. However, the top 6(LSU in top 7 but obviously excluded for this topic)+Texas would leave LSU in harms way! Brennan might develop into a stud if not a serviceable qb. However, Burrow played deep into most of LSU'S games last year chasing the Heisman, so that we have no idea what he'll be like when the heat is truly turned on. The D will be good but has many holes to fill. Without much experience and Covid shutting down fb practices and operations, LSU will find it difficult to get their players up to snuff in time to play tbe top 6 teams of the SEC. Luckily they don't have to play GA. or Tennessee or 9-3, 8-4 could be very possible. Let's be serious, LSU will suprise somebody and finish the year 10-3 or 11-2 counting the bowl game. Still, it wouldn't be hard to believe that 8-4 is a distinct possibility!

What was your opinion of LSU's QB and Oline five months before christmas last year? Bet it was pretty much the same as today? Correct?

Last year's Oline had ONE top 100 recruit in it's lineup. He's back. LSU's LT MISSED six starts. Tigers started FOUR different LT. The starting RT also missed a couple of starts. As for the '20 edition. The projected five starters ALL have starting experience.

What LSU QB from the past played in any kind of offense like LSU put on the field in '19? Before you go with standard gump rhetoric about burrow and brady I'll save you the time. Slinger was and still is LSU's OC. Tigers LED the COUNTRY in avg yards gained on first down. STEVE ENSMINGER called EVERY first down play. LSU actually upgraded the PGC spot by hiring a very successful 16 year NFL OC to replace a two year assistant to an assistant NFL coach.

FYI LSU was LOADED with talent when saban ARRIVED in BR. Example there were three future NFL QBs waiting to greet him at the airport.

QUICK recap of what LSU returns on DEFENSE

DL - four players with starting experience. Best DT rotation in SEC. Leading DLineman in tackles, sacks and tackles for loss

LB - four players with starting experience. Two on Butkus watch list.

DB - five players with starting experience. First team all american CB as TrFr. A safety that actually put up better numbers than his counterpart that won the Thorpe last year.

LSU's "D" will be OK and actually better than the '19 version.

As depressing as it is, I don't think this is factored into predictions enough. This might end up being a really weird season. No crowds, a lot of campuses mostly online, what will the practice schedules be? How will team meetings be conducted? Film study? How will the players adjust? We don't even know for sure when the season will start really. I have my opinions and predictions like everyone else but honestly I have no confidence in them right now. This is going to be the weirdest season in the post war history of CFB in all likelihood.

I think LSU is recruiting well enough now that they don't need to worry about losing guys, they now have 4 and 5 stars filling in. The adjustment period is short and the drop off isn't dramatic. Anyone on here, LSU fan or otherwise, who says they know how Brennan will do is lying. We haven't seen anywhere near enough of him to predict accurately IMO.

God damn, man. Get a grip.
You are so bothered by what random idiots say on the internet that you decided to make a multi-paragraph post trying to convince yourself that LSU isn't going to take a massive step back.

CFB likely isn't even happening this year; just take a step back and enjoy it for what it is.

He's gonna be in New York for the Heisman, right Pokey?

So you're telling me those recruiting rankings arent good ? I didn't mean we were finishing 1st in recruiting. I said coach o is recruiting at a high level nation wide.

no. You said..."The level of recruiting lsu is doing on a national scale is unprecedented at the school and pretty much everywhere"

Aside from the fact that LSU hasn't led the nation in any single year, you do know what unprecedented means. Right?

in 2019 the LSU defense was in the lower half of the conference, so I won't be surprised if it's better this year. The flip side is the offense probably won't be as good.

Can't wait till Nov. When the tigers make it two in a row and put bama back to wondering what happen to that dynasty.
Dem bama fans get all hot and bothered at the thought of another team fixing to take the SEC west back
