Let's start a list of possible hangups, please add to it if you want (probably not everything, but the main ones)

1) TSIO
2) DSOR
3) Several teams with ACC rivalries.

What am I missing and how do you solve them?

1) Bama should just say, "this is ridiculous and we need to play a different team to slightly bump up our strength of schedule. Tenn should just say, "this is ridiculous, we need a break from this game for a year or two.

2) Move Auburn to the East, Mizzou to the west. (Big 6 gripes but everyone always says the West is soooo much better so maybe this is the balance you are looking for.

3) Move to the 9 game conference schedule. You either make your ACC rivalry game pause, or you don't, it's up to you.(unless there is a law on the books that you must play, which is crazy and should be changed and I have no real clue if this is even something that exists?)

I'm just shooting the breeze here so don't get salty, I'm honestly curious on people's thoughts.

Not that easy

Nobody wants an early game with Alabama and have it tank their season.

Old school coaches were better about home and homes. New coaches not as much.

I get your point ...So schedule the P5 OOC later in the season instead of your cupcake bye prior to the IB. Most ACC SEC rivalry games are late season affairs. Im not poking the SEC...ACC is the same.

Four should be the max. I would say three is more than enough.

Duke has arguably been the 2nd best team overall in the ACC recently. Truth is this:: Sorry Clemson none of your ACC games count. BTW, Bama signed up for a long term contract to play a big name team in the opener not knowig who the sponsor would round up. They played Mich, your Clemson, Penn St, USC, FSU when they were preseason #2 everyone. But teams started balking at getting their season cratered by a big arse whupping in the first game and now nobody will sign up to play the Tide so they have Duke. Good news is Bama is dropping out of that and scheduling big time schools like Texas and ND for home and homes.

Any fan who isn’t for a 9 game SEC schedule is just scared. There is no other explanation. Fear.

Auburn and LSU should play every year.

Obviously you don’t watch a lot of ACC games to make that claim...Duke is mid-tier at best.
At least Clemson plays 10 P5 teams each year and our OOC includes two SEC teams every year. Don’t see any SEC teams going that route.

I could actually get behind this.

Won’t work until all SEC play decent P5 OOC annually. USC UK UGA and FL all have ACC in state rival games each year. Sorry Bama ...Duke don’t count.

Last I checked, USC played in the Pac-12. You must mean South Carolina, SCar, Carolina, Chickens, whatever. There is only ONE USC and that's the Trojans. Even the Federal Courts say so.

You want Florida or LSU more? I feel like AU fans have bitched and bitched about losing that rivalry. Can't just have all big 6 against big 6. Needs to be even to a certain extent.

Eta: you are also playing every team that's not a permanent every other year. So it's not like you lose those games like it is currently.

What? Most do. Yeah Duke is a joke but Bama has played USC, Michigan, and Florida St recently too.

I don't really see it that way. Four teams currently play an unbalanced SEC schedule.

Are you counting teams that play neutral site games?

Beating a dead horse. This has been discussed so much and you think you've had an ephinay and have the perfect solution. Go sit down somewhers

I think it would be better if you played the 6 other teams in your division, 2 rotating teams from the opposite division and 1 permanent team from the opposite division.

Completely aware it's been discussed. Its middle of the summer. Just put it on paper to see what the matchups could be. Sorry for upsetting you.

Yes. Those four would have a balanced schedule with 9 games. Merely stating that there are already some that do it every year. Not that big a deal.
