I doubt the B1G ever matches the SEC in the number of quality teams.

Teams like Michigan State, Iowa and Nebraska have the resources to be top 15-35 teams consistently. They just haven’t put it together in the NIL era.

I don’t think UCLA, Rutgers, Purdue, Minnesota, etc have the institutional or booster investment to break out of the 40-75 range and because the B10 has an anchor at the bottom while Kentucky, MS St and even Vanderbilt have shown they have and will spend to break into the 25-50 range I agree.

Hell look at Kentucky. They were borderline bad last year but hired a new coach and portaled in an entire new team and have a path to 8 wins next year IMO. There just aren’t any “easy” games in the SEC even if there aren’t any “impossible” games like Bama v Arkansas would’ve been 5 years ago because the top teams don’t have the same depth and talent discrepancy anymore.

Why aren't we going for a super conference that put in teams that will be willing to spend money for top to medium recruits from HS and the transfer portal yearly?

The end game is obviously an AFC (B10) v NFC (SEC) scenario where any high rating teams from the ACC/B12 get pulled up and the remaining teams left out become a lower division of football with their own separate playoff.

I’d be nervous at that point for teams like Rutgers, Minnesota and Mississippi State who don’t have the resources or ratings to compete.

I cannot disagree with anything you've said. Those 3 B1G programs are enigmas.

SEC fans love the sport and their teams leaders will find the resources to compete.

As of now, I'm not teaching anything.

I would never do or say anything that I would not do or say in front of my children or anyone's children. It would be better a stone tied around my neck and cast into the sea than do as you wrote.

Departments of education typically have the least bright students.

I just wish we had the volume of cupcakes built into our conference schedules like the Big Ten.

In years of 4 home SEC games, you schedule your non con P4 at home. 5 road games and 7 home games, which is the norm for most teams.

That's not the point. The point is with home field advantage being as big as it is on the SEC, 1/2 the teams are at a disadvantage with the 5/4 vs 4/5 arrangement.

So many of the big non-cons are neutral site one-and-done games, not home and aways. I don't foresee these happening anymore in the SEC and that's a shame.

No kids are less bright, but they do lack motivation and support at home. Most will follow their parents path, not understanding the value of education.

Perhaps that will flip this season. The B1G should be tougher up and down the league, but I doubt the SEC has any dropoff anytime soon.

I honestly Dont understand those on the other side of this argument. We all
Agree it will be more fun for the fans to watch our teams play a conference game vs playing Mercer or citadel but trust me, unessarily taking a risk and taking an extra L will screw deserving teams out of the cfp with this move.

Sankey let in 2 more teams from the west side of the Mississippi River that are full of themselves.

Texas, aTm, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri have collectively won how many SEC Football Championships?

The answer would be: A BIG FAT ZERO
