I don’t live in his district; I’m not concerned with distancing myself from him.
His actions will cost him votes (he already faced a GOP challenger who was backed by both Gov. Abbott and former Gov. Perry in the most recent election).
And that was before this tomfoolery.
He’s made his bed.

But you are not a politican.
If you were you would be asked to help out your university from time to time.

We could debate this all day, and it changes nothing.
The penalty for violating the proposed “law” (snicker) would be a forfeit of state funds for athletic scholarships or financial aid for football players; yet neither program uses state funds for athletic scholarships.
"It's symbolic more than substantive ...Ideally, the schools will start the discussion," Larson said of the punishment.
Regardless of how you and/or I feel about it, the guy is a nut.
He’s likely ended his political career over a “symbolic” bill that’s DOA..
Talk about an unfortunate representative of the people.

Only delusional t-sips like you believe that game is worth a squirt of cat semen.
GIVE IT UP. We're not playing you bitches. You can find somebody else to fill your stadium.
We're good.
Your delusional if you think this game doesnt have value. It hits the radar nationally and is off the charts in Texas. As a non conference game it's "unique" revenue & has strong value to the media.
The game will be played in the next 20 years maximum & likely much sooner. The only parties that don't want the game are either simply stubborn or sterile & have no impact on the situation. All signs show that the UT AD, administration & power alumni are really warming up to the idea if not bullish.
I'm not in tune with the A&M AD nor administrations true position, but there is evidence some power alumni have strong interest.
Don't kid yourself.. the Texas legislature factors in as the #1 player if the two AD's don't eventually take care of it themselves. Majority of the legislature are UT/A&M affiliated & the majority of those are tied to UT.
IOW.. it's happening whether you like it or not.

I think it is the gay sex thing, just adds a different level.
KU is pretty loathsome but I don't think they were spanking the dirty bird to pics of Michael Sam.

Of course the big picture/reality blew right over your head.
Your coach & AD (same for UT) aren't even pawns on the board when/if the State gets involved. The admins are pretty much the same, but at least they have the luxury of being invited to the meeting.
When the State decides they want the game there will be a game. Now ask yourself... when it comes to these two Universities, which is "the State"?
If the cousins cant play nice in the sand box, Daddy will eventually step in and impose his will.

Honest question, which of the 2 games has more media value at the national level?
Game #1 = TAMU vs OU in Jerryworld
Game #2 = TAMU vs Utx in Relaint
I will hang up and listen...

Thank God the administration is too smart for that. Won't happen for quite awhile. Texas will h ave to continue to eek it out against the likes of Kansas, and Baylor.

Sorry Daniel, I'll be around far longer than you have perceived. Hell I might even witness an aggy championship if I decide to stretch things out a few years.

Ranking the schools in the region by historic prowess
#1 Oklahoma
#2 Nebraska
#3 Texas
#4 Arkansas
Georgia Tech has 4 MNC's in 4 different eras with 4 different coaches
Texas has 4 MNC's in 2 different eras with 2 different coaches
Are you really telling me Georgia Tech football is ELITE?
All that money and all that in state talent and Sooners and Huskers are still above you.
Let me break it down in a way your simple mind might be able to handle it.
OU vs TAMU is a 2nd huge game for OU to recruit TX
Utx vs TAMU is just another in state game (great for TX eyeballs, not so great beyond TX)
Posted on 2/23/19 at 1:28 pm to Cheese Grits
Georgia Tech also has two National Championships before the AP era.
Texas has quite a few as well but they don't claim them.
