Dumb or crazy.. both?
You slid from "national" and "media" to some bastardized version of regional, historical ranking & recruiting.
I read it a third time in a 4th grade level Cajun accent & that shite still doesnt make sense.

So to summarize
1. 89% of A&M students, who actually voted, voted for the game, which is below the 94% share that the whorns students voted for.
2. Texas has been a full level or two below A&M in the 7 yrs since A&M joined the SEC on the field. Back-to-Back-to-Back-to-back 6 or 7 loss seasons is something else. In fact that has happened at A&M in my lifetime so i wouldn't know.
3. Texas needs a home game that people will show up for. We have LSU or Alabama at home every season, and unlike big 12 schools, SEC schools actually travel to road games (H/T to the SEC West for supporting your schools)
4. Texas thinks they are entitled to dictate when and how the game returns. The reality is they dont, our school president has already said it won't be anytime soon, and this is just a stupid discussion to pass time during EVERY offseason.
I will congratulate the whorns on scheduling LSU. They'll finally see why SEC home games are fun. It's nice to see the opposing team actually use their allotment. No big 12 team consistently did.

Nice deflection....
Georgia Tech is a academic school that does well at football without the money or recruits Utx has.
Nice of you to cherrypick the pre poll era less that record against Vanderbilt looks too embarrassing.
As for GT, they could claim at least 7 but just claim 4 (HoF coaches in BOLD)
The 1917 MNC was with a coach named Johnny Heisman, ever heard of him?
The 1928 MNC was capped with 10 -0 and a Rose Bowl win under Alexander
The 1952 MNC was capped with 12 -0 and a Sugar Bowl win under Dodd
The 1990 MNC was well past the DKR era and was Coaches Poll
I get Utx was too chickens*t to stay and play in the old SIAA and chose to wreck the SWC and now the B12 because they can't get their way. What a bunch of crybabies in austin when somebody outside of the state sees you for what you are.

Texas made a decision as a state to leave the SIAA.
A lot of it had to do with Spindletop and finding oil in Southeast Texas.
But Texas started to wrap themselves in Texan Pride and their war against Mexico and attempted to cut ties with what they referred to as the loser mentality in the Lower South.

Why not cancel one of your directional state schools? Why does it always have to be Notre Dame or Clemson? There’s 3 other OOC games on the schedule every year.
As entertaining as it would be to play nothing but P5 schools it’s makes zero sense to plays the SEC W, UofsC, rotational SECE, a big time OOC, and then tu with the current playoff system.
Let me know when Lsu or Bama schedule 2 top 10 teams ooc in the same year.

You don’t schedule another team when there’s a 70% chance of losing. These two teams wil not be playing again in our lifetime. Move on.

Come on Aggies. Man up and play the game
You.
We're good.
And, no amount of shaming or guilting will change our resolve.
If they agree to play every game at kyle and we get 100% of the proceeds and an all-Aggie officiating crew IN PURPETUITY, then MAYBE we will put their insufferable asses back on the schedule. Otherwise...frick OFF!!!!

The game is meaningless.
Using Aggy logic.
Texas would rather play ND, USC, LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio St and Georgia.
Probably Penn State after the Georgia home and home.
Texas has only 3 OOC
So they play those schools plus Rice 4 times a decade.
That leaves Texas with only 6 open dates every decade.
Texas is willing to play A&M but with a home and home.
Nothing long term.
aggy on the otherhand is all over the map because they attempt to spin everything as a win.

And kick him in the nuts after halftime.
But, only maybe...
And after they surender the entire PUF and the longhorn moniker to officially become the "teasippers". And they suck Aggie dick on command.

OK, here is about as simple as it gets.
Outside the state of TX, rank the teams by ELITE status.....
Oklahoma = 7 claimed (10 unclaimed) 3 coaches over 4 decades
Nebraska = 5 claimed (9 unclaimed) 2 coaches over 2 decades
Texas = 4 claimed (5 unclaimed) 2 coaches over 2 decades
Arkansas = 1 claimed (1 unclaimed) 1 coach over single decade
Texas A&M = 3 claimed (0 unclaimed) All before WWII and Bible also coached UNL and Utx

Since Texas has a commanding winning record against them all and have 906 wins I will go with Texas....
