Texas made a decision as a state to leave the SIAA.

No, Utx left the SIAA and asked Rebs and Tigers to join the SWC, both declined.

A year or two later Utx had TAMU leave the SIAA. You should spend some time in the VU archives.

A lot of it had to do with Spindletop and finding oil in Southeast Texas.

Spindletop (the Younts) left for Kentucky. The current UK Alumni country club is the old Yount estate and the old Yount bank was across from the old courthouse in Lexington, KY.

Texas started to wrap themselves in Texan Pride

It was a lot of good old boys from KY and TN that got you your freedom from Mexico in the first place.

Look, I love Texas (the state) and most Texans when they can drop the attitude long enough to be the original folks they were before the nouveau riche attitude settled in after oil prospered there.

OK, here is about as simple as it gets.

Outside the state of TX, rank the teams by ELITE status.....

Oklahoma = 7 claimed (10 unclaimed) 3 coaches over 4 decades
Nebraska = 5 claimed (9 unclaimed) 2 coaches over 2 decades
Texas = 4 claimed (5 unclaimed) 2 coaches over 2 decades
Arkansas = 1 claimed (1 unclaimed) 1 coach over single decade
Texas A&M = 3 claimed (0 unclaimed) All before WWII and Bible also coached UNL and Utx

Apparently it's not simple with you, here is your original question to which I directly responded:

"Honest question, which of the 2 games has more media value at the national level?

Game #1 = TAMU vs OU in Jerryworld
Game #2 = TAMU vs Utx in Relaint

I will hang up and listen..."

So if you bang the fish in your little pond that makes you big?

What a Utx attitude. No wonder you have so little to show on the national level.

As for IQ (probably well above yours) and teeth (full set and no cavities at this age) you feel the need to stereotype what you can not defend by direct answers. Clearly you have the lower IQ to drop to such a sophomoric level of debate and if you make light of my teeth perhaps you are insecure in those missing from you own mouth at a younger age.

Kentucky left the SIAA a few times as well....

Don't know about what people in Kentucky were taught.
A lot of people in the South were taught that one of the reasons the Confederacy loss the war was because the capital was moved from Montgomery to Richmond.

A lot of this is the reason why UVA and UNC have had the same adversarial relationship with the SIAA, SoCon and the SEC.

Texas made the choice to stand on its own.
I think if you look at the economies of the Virginia, North Carolina and Texas they all made the right choice in the end.

How do you know they’ll be top 10 the year the games are played? LSU has played multiple top 10 teams OOC before as well

This clown is dumb on display... crossing his posts and replies over different topics and intended parties.

Carry on simpleton, you are beautifully and masterfully proving our point.

I did listen, your response confirmed your burnt orange Koolaid answer.

Oklahoma is the football elite of the region. Broadcasters and advertisers will pay more for Oklahoma than Texas when it comes to national exposure. They are the bigger historic winners. Utx is not #1 in your home region, you just believe they are.

In 2012 OU got the first bid for the SEC but they wanted OSU in tow so the SEC invited TAMU. When they still wanted OSU to tag along the SEC invited MU.

If Utx is as great as you think they are ask two questions?

Q1) Why do they not have greater success
Q2) Why did Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Missouri leave them behind?

He is a SEC homer...The Mother Hen

Thinks because aggy is in the SEC they deserve to be protected

Sounds like Aggy is weak.

Kentucky Mustangs, when are you going to take aggy's dick out of your mouth? You've been sucking their balls for nearly a decade.

We get it, you hate The University of Texas.

As for me, I don't ever want to play aggy again, but 89 percent of the 15k aggy students who cast a ballot believe otherwise.

Daniel said no aggy students wanted the game and (as usual) he was wrong.

Aggy is melting down over this vote.

I know what I was taught as the person who was the first head of the SEC was the UK president and I am old enough to have known him in person. Dr Dudley who formed the SIAA and the NCAA was at Vanderbilt but he was from Kentucky and well known in the early days of my youth.

Lots of Texans have deep KY and TN roots and if you were native you would know this. If you call KY and TN toothless you are admitting you share the same genetic roots in TX today.

Either you are a dimwitted troll or you really are this slow but for someone representing Utx you sure are downgrading that degree by your responses.

I don't believe in beating women nor children... thankfully in your case, it's perfectly acceptable to watch one beat themselves.

My gay brothers in TX can protect themselves. I am just here to show why the SEC survives and Utx is a conference killer. You guys were so into yourselves you let your conference brothers get raped because it was not you. SEC does not work that way which it why you are here now. Still whistling past the graveyard on a board not your own and not about you.

There is a reason the SEC cost 50 bucks to join and is free to leave. Men banded together against the outside are strong enough not to need GoR's to keep them in place.

Well, you are right on this point

What does it say about Utx fans to post on a non Utx board about a school no longer in their conference. I will go a step further and ask how many of you post on Arkansas, Colorado, Nebraska, or Missouri boards with such equal fervor?

What is the basic psychology behind your posting behavior?
