Hell of an entertaining league just on its own, where basically everyone would hate each other and they are all regionally close.

Who the hell wouldn't enjoy a league of this:

Arkansas
Ole Miss
Mizzou
Texas
Aggy
LSU
Oklahoma
Miss State

Looking forward to it.

That home & away with the Tide was some of the best interactions with other fans I’ve ever had. Want to know why? They understand history and aren’t resentful bitches.

Those games were a damn blast. Mutual respect between both fanbases, no vitriol and a fun time.

I feel like the Texas and State fanbases are not going to mesh well. Especially in baseball

t.u fans will loath all sec fan bases. If they think OU is bad they have another thing coming. Oil and water at its finest

Agree with this. SEC West baseball is already so much fun. Now add another historically great program.

That’s something that isn’t talked about much. Adding Texas into the SEC for baseball, will be huge. All the top college baseball programs, now reside in the SEC.

lol

I have multiple bama buddies that also rave about that OU series, but I'm afraid to tell you it has nothing to do with "understanding history". You paint a picture of classy folks with monocles smoking cigars and sipping champagne with a pinky out talking about how wonderful life is. The actual fact is that when you don't have a long history wiht someone it's easy to be friendly. It also helped that at the time bama was not very good. Compared to present day they were practically dog shite on a shoe.

I have a feeling that when the 2 play again, since there has been some recent history, the fanbases won't act nearly the same as they did then.

I think Arkansas vs Oklahoma will become a nice rivalry due to proximity.

Yeah it’s only like 3 hours from Fayetteville to Norman, right?

It was beer and RV's and dip instead of monocles and cigars, but fair points otherwise. I get it, neither of us were very good at the time, though we respected Bama's rich pre-Saban history, and thy were GREAT visitors and great hosts as well. I can imagine facing them now every year may come with a different vibe, or maybe not. But it was nice to have a peer whom we mutually respect, even if it was just for a home & home series. The Nebraska-OU rivalry was like that every year. They hated losing to us and vice versa, but mutual respect transcended all of it.

Hey - whether it's Bama or someone else, I'm thankful we keep our rivalry with the Longhorns and have the opportunity to grow more rivalries with SEC teams.

frick Texas. I hope they lose every game and still get the death penalty for NIL infractions. I wish things upon them that would get me bant just for saying.
It always makes me laugh when fans have such a problem with Texas just for the mere fact of existing, whereas Texas doesn't really think about any other schools like that whatsoever

The only ones that would be missing would be Arizona, Arizona St. and Miami. Maybe some SEC teams can do a non-conference series with those other teams in a round robin over the course of a few years after Texas joins.

Plus, Austin has a dining scene that rivals delicious Cajun food, so even if the football doesn’t deliver, the food always will in this series.

1. Make this statement
2. Refuses to elaborate
3. Leaves

Why do Aggie fans love to bring up the dildo thing at UT? Like every single time it comes up here. Is that all you people have on them?

Literally yes:

However, they seem to forget how that was a one-time thing that happened on campus, yet their school proudly hosts "Draggieland" every single year

If we're being honest with ourselves, I think most of them have so many photos of that one time anti open carry protest because they so badly wished they were smart enough to attend themselves so they could take some home

Yep, you’d immediately become our closest conference foe.

I’m no fan of Austin but it has a better dining scene than all of Bama combined.

It’s just odd to me that of all Texas shortcomings they can choose from, they love to use the dildo thing. It’s constantly posted here by Aggies and only Aggies. No one else really cares like they do.

I honestly think Texas is going to fit in just fine with us heathens. We’re going to get a kick out of mocking Aggies. Nothing bonds SEC rivals like making fun of A&M. It’s common among all of us.

I do hope they schedule the Texas A&M vs Texas game on Thanksgiving like in the past. it was a staple in my household when I was growing up and in college.

Your state voted for Joe Biden. Only one in the SEC. 'Nuff said...
