Tennessee: loses to UGA & beats Vandy
Texas: loses to Arkansas & beats aTm
Texas A & M: beats Auburn & loses to Texas
Georgia: beats Tennessee
Ole Miss: beats Florida & State
Alabama: beats Oklahoma & Auburn
Mizzou: beats South Carolina & Arkansas
LSU: beats Vandy, Florida & Oklahoma

I think every team is more focused on making the playoff than Atlanta. The champ game loser is likely going to be left out of the playoffs so most teams probably would like to avoid it. They should just pick a regular season champion and ditch the game.

Texas goes 7-1.
Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, Tennessee and Georgia all go 6-2.

As crazy as it sounds….LSU could still end up 6-2. Ok/FL/Vandy could definitely trip us up and but aren’t exactly world beaters either. If LSU wins out, all they need is GA to beat Tenner. And Arky to beat Mizz. And their headed to Atl. This won’t happen but the fact that it’s still a possibility is hilarious to me

I cannot wait to have a Co-SEC Championship banner in the Vaught when we all go 6-2. It’ll look great and match the theme we have going.

With the 12 team playoff, the conference championship game is stupid. It’s funny now - you have to play and win an extra game to earn a bye. Hmm…

Remember the old rules? Back when the SEC was 10 teams (as God intended)…
Who went to the Sugar bowl? It was always whoever had been the least recently
So, under that scenario; it would come down to a 3 way tie between Ole Miss, aTm & Texas - the 3 teams who have never been
that would leave aTm out & the SECCG would be Horns vs Rebs

Maybe, but LSU is still alive for the playoffs as a 3 loss team IF they can get in and win the SECCG

Anyone know the likely 2nd team to the Texas and A&M winner if there are no upsets and Ga was to beat TN? That is a decent chance scenario.

I pray the committee effectivy doesn't count losses in conference championship games. You should never be punished for making the title game.
Winner gets rewarded, loser isn't punished. It's the only way conference title games survive. Making it needs to be strictly better.
