Each SEC school receives 50-55 million per year from TV, bowls, and CFP. Given the value of LSU’s brand , kicking LSU out is a vote to reduce your current revenue from this stream by 5-10 million per year. How in the hell do you think Ole Miss, State, Mizzu, Kentucky , USCe, Arky, Auburn, Alabama , and Tenn are going to replace that revenue? Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Probably some combination of Duke/UNC/Virginia if I had to guess. Maybe Miami.

If we take UVA don't we have to take Tech too kind of similar to the UNC/Duke scenario

TBF, the league has a pro rata deal with the mouse. OU and UT would still make the deal larger than the last one. Although, this whole fricking is stupid. So there's that.

That’s chicken feed…easily covered by the SEC….how is LSU with a paltry $3 million net profit going to replace the $75 million it receives from the SEC? Texas alone can bring in enough extra TV revenue to replace LSU. Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, A&M, and Texas control the television, streaming and revenue, not your broke arse school. Your “brand” is totally dependent on the SEC, not vice versa. You LSU idiots really think 5 star recruits and the NIL mercenaries are going to follow y’all to poorer conference for less money? lol, nah y’all will become the minor leagues, providing players to the SEC.

Ding ding ding

There is zero loss from removing LSU.

The TV contract was negotiated in 2020, prior to the addition of Texas and OU.

For all those crying, but ESPN and Disney really really want LSU and would want out of the contract.

Texas and OU haven't been baked into those TV numbers, a renegotiation includes getting paid for those programs.

Do you think you are worth more than both those teams? You're not.

As a matter of fact as much as you want to run your mouths, you're only sixth in the entire conference with both Oklahoma and Texas being ahead of you. This pretend leverage you have is nonexistent.

Viewership Leaders (2025 Regular Season)
Media rankings show the SEC’s top programs by average weekly TV viewership

Alabama: ~7.01–8.49 million

Texas: ~6.88–7.55 million

Georgia: ~6.17–7.48 million

Tennessee: ~6.21–7.03 million

Oklahoma: ~4.91–6.64 million
LSU: ~4.28–6.42 million

lol they would just go bring in different schools to offset that? Yall are replaceable as is every other school

Whats not replaceable is the 75 million yall get from the SEC every year. No one will give you close to that. Yall will probably lose 20 million a year at least

Not sure where you are getting your numbers, but what I saw for 2025 is different.

Tennessee doesn’t pull in numbers like that anymore.

One source.

Sports Illustrated has LSU in the same position at 6 with TN behind them as well.

And that was a 7-5 season.

Despite how much people try to argue otherwise, LSU pulls eyes.
