Rammer jammer, yellow hammer
4 bammers in the slammer

Seriously though we put these guys on a pedestal at such an early age that they often feel invincible. Hate to see that.

they were freshmen (redshirt or true), so it's not surprising you haven't heard of them... they're gone before they ever had a real chance to contribute.

So that justifies a savage beating? Name calling?

The 'victim' in this case sustained only minor injuries and went home after refusing medical treatment. But to answer your question, I've been involved in fights that were over a helluva lot less.

To think I came close to giving up social networking for Lent . . .

I'd be missing these thoughtful discussions.

Mangham said in his suit that McClain intentionally hit him with a vehicle twice on Nov. 13, 2008, left the scene to secure other Alabama football players to intimidate him, and then verbally and physically assaulted him again. Mangham had claimed he needed multiple dental procedures and oral surgery to treat permanent injuries and was seeking at least $75,000 in punitive damages.

They justify claiming false and retroactive national titles

Claiming titles is one thing, but Alabama has more "legit" NC's in the past 4 years than Auburn has in its entire history.

No excuse for what happened. There is too much of this kind of crap going on it definitely is a societal problem and somehow we have to deal with it.

Drugs and guns and violence..glorified in the popular music and culture of the day and it has to end someplace.

Time for performers actors and yes you and I to stand against this plague,to Hell with political correctness and party agendas.

Vote out the pussies with no backbone to call it like it is and act. Fill the town halls school board meetings and yes state and federal legislature meetings and hold these people to account. Refuse to allow our children to see movies and to buy CD's from these thugs and double talkers.

Time to quit talking and start doing. Things are going downhill in a hurry. This is but one small example.

If found guilty, Saban/Bama jettisoning all four is not only the right thing to do, but the smart call from a program control standpoint/message to the players/recruits/and moral compass view/sell to the public..

And with three natty titles in four years, and as chalk again next year, there is never an easier time to let four players(most of which have contributed minimally to date)..find their way back into the blessings of life, yet with some harsh consequence/no free ride..elsewhere.

If Arkansas can fire it's HC to great consequence, then Alaama can fire four minor contributors to date..the next 4* or 5* in line..your now on deck.

Funny how that lawsuit wasn't filed until nearly two years after the alleged incident. Even funnier how this Mangham waited until McClain was making millions of dollars in the NFL before he decided to sue.

Anyways...the same article you linked says that both he and Mangham filed a joint stipulation of dismissal of all claims back in March of last year.

The initial reports, and I remember this because I was on campus at the time and this was a big story, said that there were two frat guys involved. One of them refused to talk to police while the other left the scene refusing medical treatment.

Which means they settled out of court, which more than likely means Ro paid him money. Now why would he pay him money?

Not sure that's as much funny as good legal strategy. Don't blow your SOL and wait till his pockets are deeper.
