that was the first down discrepancy in the LSU/Clemson game.
That puts this arse whooping into a much better perspective than the finally score considering
One Clemson first down was via LSU penalty. I think 3 or 4 of the others came on the Clemson possession in literal garbage time.
Props to Lane, that is impressive.

I said before the season Lane was a good coach and LSU would be good, but I kept it to myself that I thought year 2 would be a playoff team and year 3 a true NC contender.
After last night I would say y'all are a definite playoff team this year and true NC contender this year.
And you know by watching that they are gonna get better.
Not saying they can't lay an egg in a game but they did a lot of the little things well last night that it takes some teams until mid season to do.

You can just tell when you have a squad.
When you outgain your opponent by 500yds through three quarters, set a school record for first downs, and rep your third team offense against a D1 team… you gotta be pretty good even if your opponent is sweaty ballsack.

As a fan of college football, not just LSU, I legit appreciate the honest takes from some of you on this board. It makes it much more enjoyable. The trolls (LSU fans included) make it tough to read sometimes. Especially on game day. Save that banter for mid week when their isn’t shite else to talk about.
I think the SEC looked damn good yesterday/this weekend across the board. They took care of business.
