Absolutely ridiculous turn of events. Wow.

What in the hell does a bad injury in a regular season game to a player that was having a good season have to do with anything like this? Lattimore's situation could happen to anyone playing in a regular season game or a meaningful playoff game.

Coaches need to kind of band together and send a message here. You dont want other players seeing that you can just up and leave, or not play in playoff games.

This kid should get blackballed for the greater good. Hearing he almost sat out of a playoff game makes me furious...maybe because I know that would be some Gamecock luck if we ever made the playoff

He's blackballed himself by his play on Tennessee backfiring.

He was making reportedly 2.4 million at UT. He starts floating his name to other schools. Since he was already making 2.4 at Tennessee, they would need to do better than that. Then he gets those schools and Tennessee into bidding wars. Well, that all blew up in his face when Tennessee told him to kick rocks.

Now, he's being paid nothing. Interested schools don't need to pay him more than 2.4 million anymore because he's not making 2.4 million anymore. He hasn't played well enough to leverage himself into a better deal. He played a hand and lost. This happens to professional athletes who hold out all the time.

It also doesn't help him that almost all the schools willing to pay a lot of NIL money for a QB have already signed and are paying a QB. The ones remaining are not good at football and don't have the exposure an SEC school like Tennessee does.

Yeah, you almost certainly will not win a championship with a poor leader at QB. So why would any school pay the big bucks for him?

Kind of hard to put into words how much current and future money his family and he threw away.

That's why I opted out of playing NCAA football altogether back in my day. Didn't want to hurt my chances in the NFL.

Denbrock is running a good program. He doesn't want a cancer on his team.

The issue even if he takes less is will he not play when it matters to get paid more and then the team is in a bind. Nobody should take him even if cheap.
