Last nights game was like watching mirror images of the other. Very impressed with yalls D as it made a hard night for Dozier and Thornwell to score. Very impressed by Hill and Berry. Berry is gonna be good, he had many drives that were surprising.
Sadly the refs influenced the game negatively but the turning point was getting Silva back in the 2nd half. Y'all should have taken more advantage of him missing so much time in 1st half. He really makes us a better team when he's not committing stupid fouls.
Anyway, GG Gators. Think we're both the 2nd best teams in the league this year followed closely by Georgia.

To me, it came down to 3 point shooting being the difference between the two teams.
UF could not hit an open 3. 0-17 from 3. There were a lot of uncontested looks from three. At the end, Barry stopped shooting and started to drive more.
USC hit 4-13. They won.
There is no doubt that both teams are going to be hard to score on.

Of course it will. Neither team will forget how to play defense. One could argue that the missed FTs towards the end of the game due to us having home court advantage played a role in the outcome. Once we took the lead in the 2nd half, CLA wasn't going out quietly.

Absolutely. First team to 60 will win that game too. I think that's why we'll both be successful this year because no other teams can simulate the type of D we both play. Kentucky will be way harder to guard because of their talent, but I bet we give them the most fits defensively that they'll see all year.
I hope we can make the tournament because we will be a tough out for anyone because of that D.

I'm not one to take away from a team's win. SC beat Florida and was better. Excuses are UF missing 3's. Well SC made theirs. Aside from poor shooting there was good D as you said and was actually a good game to watch. (Fouls not included)

There were 55 fouls called in 40 minutes of ball. That hardly allows a coach's game plan to be implemented. I think we had four players with 4 fouls with 6-7 minutes left in the game. Both SC and UF had at least one player foul out. It was absurd.
Now, to your point there are certainly things either team could have done better. Quite frankly, if either of them had done better at the FT line they would've had control of the game.
SC was just under 70% and UF was barely above 50%.

I gave up on it after the refs clearly took over.
College Games can get horrible so easily when the refs decide to blow their whistle if you breathe wrong on the opposing player.
There simply shouldnt be much more than a foul per minute in basketball, it's just awful to watch that.

As it pains me to say it, UofL is one of the better defensive teams in the country.

It was a terrible game because of the refs. Hard fought on both sides with SC making the plays to win down the stretch. Both teams need to improve for the post-season. Hopefully there will be a few less fouls called in Gainesville.

It was. Hollywood Teddy Valentine needs to be put out to pasture. The fact that he has a nickname and announcers know him by it means he sucks as a ref and has another agenda
