A lot of people come in asking the same questions through the season. Maybe someone wants to add some food and drink suggestions?

I will say.. and I hate to do it.. Ajax has fallen off a fricking cliff in terms of quality and taste after they sold it

It always amazes me how a restaurant is successful and the owners sell. The first thing the new owners do is lower quality and raise prices and then they fail. It's a tale as old as time. Just stick with what fricking works!

Ajax and City Grocery is for out of town people to go to thinking they’re getting the “real” Oxford experience

SoLa and Snackbar are probably my two favorite restaurants in town right now. The new greek place on Sisk (Aplos) wasn't any good when I tried it a month ago. Volta is much better, IMO.

Taking my wife to the Auburn game. Hypothetically…….how crazy are they about searching people for flasks? We’re going to be sitting on the home side.

I've never had an issue sneaking in a flask. Hide it in a jacket or in your waist band near the belt buckle.

So when did they start marking games for a specific time all the way at the beginning of the year? I just saw on the Ole Miss sports website that the Auburn game is listed as 11 AM. Usually they don’t announce game times until two Mondays before.

That change happened when we dropped CBS. It's stupid as shite and they should go back to doing it as the season goes.

It’s because ESPN has all the inventory now. Not just the SEC but other conferences too. And with CBS out of the picture they don’t have to negotiate with anyone else about which games they get, they just decide it themselves based on their own internal logistics.

Sucks, but that’s what the money is for

Ajax is more my speed ( before it started to suck)

City grocery was a little too much sophistication for my palate and I can’t pronounce half their menu so I never went

A couple years ago. The food, to me, isn't as good now.

Took my wife to experience Oxford a year ago and I thought the same about Ajax. It just didn’t seem like it tasted as good as I remembered.
