Hogs are gonna be real creative with our pitching staff but I think the lineup will mostly be normal. Wegner and Josenberger haven’t looked too awesome since they came back from their injuries. Hopefully they can get some good reps in Hoover.

ETA - actually Bolton (SS) is day to day with an ankle sprain now that I think about it. Not sure he’ll play much in Hoover but he’s not exactly our 4 hole hitter though he has been better in the field lately

To be honest, I'm not sure why coaches and teams show up. Didn't the regular season decide the conference champion?

All they do is burn up arms so the SEC can rake in more cash and keep athletes out of the classroom even more.

Athletic Directors ought to stand up for their players and say, "no thanks, we'll wait for regionals to start".

It’s not completely worthless. I would just compare it to more like a midweek series of games. Rest who you need to rest. Get some reps for who you need to get some reps.

Except for those teams that didn’t get done everything they needed to get done resume wise during the regular season.

Are there any rumblings of USCe getting healthier towards the postseason?

I mean we got most the bodies on the field. How healthy or in form they are is another question.

our pitching looked so good, now we have one guy that looks like a weekend starter. the others just look shakey

Not sure I'd want a team that has been playing 4 games a week to sit idle that long.

It may give everyone a break but it may destroy any kind of positive momentum as well.

Baseball is a weird sport.

Got a tough draw against Bama early, especially with them wanting to bolster their potential hosting resume. Should be fun though.

Selfishly hoping Carolina can manage a win tomorrow morning so we can finally do this Friday night LSU game over again, to settle the back and forth.

I'd assume LSU would use Skenes at least.

Skenes won’t be throwing until Thursday. LSU has no reason to accelerate his recovery. Our game Wednesday will be treated like a midweek game rotation-wise.
