Should be zero. He’s not close to Hall of Fame worthy. Should haven’t even been on the ballot.

He has the most wins of any coach not yet in the HOF and the all time wins leader at Two Schools

You’re stupid

There are also “good works” they consider for coaches. Gene Stallings is in with a winning percentage under .600. Though he has a national title at Alabama. His time at Texas A&M sinks his winning percentage.

This isn't why he's in there. It has nothing to do with good works and everything to do with the Hall of Fame ignoring the NCAA forfeitures imposed on Alabama in 1995 for the '93 season. With the forfeits added on to his record his W-L total comes to 89-70-1. That's a winning percentage of roughly 55.6%. When you restore his W-L record from 1993, his career record at Alabama and Texas A&M comes to 97-61-2. That's a winning percentage of just over 61%.

He has 191 career wins. So that’s not true at all.

There are several coaches with 200 or more career wins not in. Including his former teammate at Kent State, Nick Saban. Who has 243 career wins.

I should have said inactive coaches. Those other coaches aren’t even eligible.

He has the most wins of any ELIGIBLE coach that is not in the HOF.

Where’s William and Ultimate Warrior? They were just calling me an idiot for saying this the other day yet one of their own said it out right.

Guess you’re an idiot, dude.

He was in on the first ballot. His coaching resume hardly suggests a first ballot inductee. Even with his Alabama resume, he barely met the criteria. The NFF and CHF explicitly state “good works” are considered for coaches.

Not sure if you're serious, but go for it. Maybe the two posters you have a beef with will see this thread and be triggered... like you.

Since the NFF and CHF do specify good works (my mistake) I'm sure they helped his case, but I think his induction had more to do with the fact that he won 81% of his games (when you add back the forfeits) as well as a national championship while the head coach at Alabama.

Tim Couch, Kentucky-Quarterback-1998 consensus First Team All-American who finished fourth in Heisman voting in 1998 and ninth in 1997…1998 SEC Player of the Year who led Cats to first win over Alabama in 75 years…Set seven NCAA, 14 SEC and 26 school records.

Too bad he got drafted by Cleveland and ruined his shoulder taking a beating.

Not sure what Gary Pinkel's chances are but it's cool to see him on the ballot.

Beating cancer makes you HOF worthy, now?

Setting the MiZzzou win record isn't exactly clearing a pole vault bar.
