IRVING, Texas (June 16, 2020) – The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today the names on the 2021 ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame, including 78 players and seven coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 99 players and 33 coaches from the divisional ranks.
"The Hall's requirement of being a First-Team All-American creates a much smaller pool of about 1,500 individuals who are even eligible. Being in today's elite group means an individual is truly among the greatest to have ever played the game, and we look forward to announcing the 2021 College Football Hall of Fame Class Presented by ETT early next year."
Champ Bailey, Gregg Carr, Tim Couch, Brad Culpepper, Kevin Faulk, Willie Gault, Antonio Langham, Chris Samuels among player candidates, Larry Blakeney and Gary Pinkel as coaches.
A list of candidates and capsule bios are provided towards the bottom of the linked page.

I hope Langham makes it in and his napkin contract is on display.
In all seriousness, there are some great players on the 2021 ballot, and not just from the SEC.

Not sure what Gary Pinkel's chances are but it's cool to see him on the ballot.

Isn’t that the washed up has been Jimbo’s nephew slapped across the face?

Should be zero. He’s not close to Hall of Fame worthy. Should haven’t even been on the ballot.

Faulk on ballot again, did not get enough votes last time
He should make it at some point

Kevin Faulk, LSU-Running Back-1996 First Team All-American who finished career ranked fourth in NCAA history in all-purpose yards (6,833)…Three-time First Team All-SEC selection and 1995 SEC Freshman of the Year…Set 11 school records during career and became first LSU back to average 100 yards per game during entire career.
In.

Coaches must have at least 10 years of head coaching experience, coached 100 games, and had at least a .600 winning percentage.
Gary Pinkel has a winning percentage of .631. So he’s definitely meeting that.
There are also “good works” they consider for coaches. Gene Stallings is in with a winning percentage under .600. Though he has a national title at Alabama. His time at Texas A&M sinks his winning percentage. But his primary reason for getting in was his work with children having disabilities. The Stallings Center at Alabama is his biggest legacy.

Champ Bailey rocks. Arguably UGA’s best defensive player of all time and best UGA player of the 1990s.
Just fun as hell to watch too and seems like a genuinely good guy.

Just watched the 98 UGA-LSU game last night. Bailey and Faulk are no brainers

I hope this doesn't derail into an argument about how Kevin Faulk picked a fight with a teenager and got his arse kicked.

This is a pretty damn impressive feat.

Yep. Faulk is a former USA Today high school all-american, SEC freshman of the year, 3-time first team all-American, member of the Louisiana Sports hall of fame, member of the New England Patriots hall of fame, member of the New England Patriots 50th anniversary team, and a 3-time Super Bowl champion. After earning millions of dollars during a 13-year NFL career, Faulk decided to get into coaching and recently was the running backs coach for the 2020 College Football Playoff national champion.
Faulk has somehow wandered into greatness at every turn of his life. Weird, huh?

I am biased, but I would like to see Gregg Carr get in. Not many AA Football players also become MD's.

I hope Larry Blakeney gets in. He did an amazing job across two divisions at Troy.
