Any news on Williams and Smart?

No but general consensus is Williams gone and Smart staying.

Why not? We’re replacing both with 5 stars and we’ll have actual talented big men and depth

How so? They would be missed, but Oats didn't recruit Kira and Petty, and his play style will probably be more reflected by who he's bringing in now.

I look forward to losing to 300+ net ranked opponents in the non-con again.

Do you think Quinerly + Primo in 2021 is an improvement over Kira + Petty in 2020? Or even a lateral move? I'm skeptical.

You're going to be a very young team. Besides Herb, your "vet" is going to be Shackelford. Tough to have tournament expectations for such an unproven team

Big disagree there. Kira and Petty were made for up-tempo, three-driven offense, regardless of which coach signed them

Lateral move. Where we’re really going to improve is our big men and depth. We had zero rim protection last season and this season we have our two best returning from injury and will likely grab Jordan Bruner from the portal.

We’ll also have actual guard and wing depth so we don’t have to play our PG 38 mpg and

UNC more than likely would’ve missed the tournament this year, is Auburn more of a basketball “program” than them? I will hang up and listen

Possible Auburn rotation
1 - Cooper/Turbo
2 - Green/Johnson/Powell
3 - Flanigan/Cambridge
4 - Brown/Williams/Moore/Thor
5 - Akingbola/Williams/Cardwell

Bruner would definitely bump up the prognosis. Still don't know whether it's an NCAA team. Continuity is king in college basketball, and while it's fair to be optimistic about Quinerly and Primo, I think a team that has much turnover as Bama will next year will be fairly up and down

Kira will be a big loss as a scorer, but he's being replaced by a better ball handler and facilitator in JQ. I love Kira also, but he is so much better suited off ball than being the relied at 1. JQ seems like a better fit running point than Kira. He just won't put up the points Kira did.

Petty is being replaced by 4* CG Primo. Primo won't be near as productive on the boards as Petty, but JP was also streaky and doesn't have good handles. It's not even 100% certain he's gone either, as he's nowhere close ready for the NBA.

Where Alabama's chances lie are if their front court gets better. Reese, Galin, and JD were either entirely too inconsistent or nonexistent. Alabama's in the mix for Jordan Bruner. We also get James Rojas and Juwan Gary back from injury, plus the addition of 4* Keon Ambrose.

Not saying Alabama is a lock either. But Oats is clearly making the right steps.

LSU is going to add Anselem to this already stacked class.

We’re hot on Cisse and Kuminga but those guys are long shots obviously
