Tennessee -- 5 seed

This would be a little disappointing imo but we will see what Prick does with a roster that is 10-11 deep. We haven’t seen him manage bodies like this yet + we don’t know exactly what to expect from the 5 or 6 (if they add another big) newcomers.

I’m going off what Oats said about him on a podcast and what I’ve seen from watching them play

Gotcha, do you expect him to shoot better from behind the arc? The numbers just really don't seem to support that kind of jump.

I get Kira was very frustrating to watch at times last year but I think overall he was a good/great fit in that system.

Quinnerly is a talented dude but the idea that losing a 1st round pick for a talented but unproven player is a net positive is just silly.

Losing Kira certainly isn't ideal. But, IF Petty returns I'll be sky high on this team going into the season. All our players' arms may fall off and Coleman burn to the ground after the season starts, I don't know. But, going into the season, I'll be pumped.

If Petty doesn't come back, they can still be very good, but I'll be more cautious.

There are still question marks. We're still a team full of wings without any true rim defenders. If we get the kid from Yale that will be a big plus in terms of having an offensively skilled big who can make the defense defend the entirety of the floor, specifically the area inside the 3-point line. Our offense last year without Herb was easily defended as teams knew that our smaller guards couldn't finish against large contests and they did not have to honor the roll off the top line pick. Bruner would be huge to blowing that defensive strategy out of the water.

The other huge question mark is our defense. Having Herb (hopefully) for the entire season will help, but we will have a bunch of new guys trying to figure out team defense and help defense on the fly. That did not work well for us at all last year, and we don't have a whole lot of guys who have the traits to be great individual defenders outside of Herb. And, to be frank, Oats has to prove he can coach defenders and team defense at this level.

Sure. And, if we only lose one key player, and are healthy, unlike this year, I'm going to be pumped. There's no reason they wouldn't be better, and they were pretty good at times this year.

I'm content being the Randy Quaid of Alabama basketball

Right and I think there are bigger factors as to how Bama will do next year besides how well Kira/petty are replaced. The bigger question to me will the front court. Seems like their has been some positive news regarding that spot so far.

If we don't get Bruner then it's going to be, at best, a question mark. His specific abilities and maturity would fit our needs like a glove.

There's a reason you're not in a single Top 25 and weren't even in Rothstein's Top 44 or this bracketology

You're losing your top six players and your top returning player is Devan Cambridge

And you can shite on UF all you want, but we've made the tournament the past three years, would have this year, and likely will next year. That type of run gets a coach inducted into the Auburn hall of fame, and we want White gone

Feel like most people's roster is far from being sorted out right now between NBA draft stuff and recruits/transfers still flying around. That being said, WTF else we going to talk about right now I suppose

Eh, I'd still be talking about this even if everything was status quo

Kinda what I had in mind. UF will probably get a bump with the Scottie Lewis news

A 6 seed is your ceiling as long as White is HC.

Let's see what the roster looks like before we get too far out of the limb. As it stands now I'll concede we aren't dancing but I expect to add at least 1 5 star and a few more pieces to the puzzle before it's all said and done.

Well besides the fact that we've already done better than that with White as HC

I'd be pretty high on Bama with Petty back as well, although I am still skeptical of your frontcourt. I don't know how much of an impact adding Rojas and Ambrose will really have. Bruner would be huge, tho

If we get Bruner there is no reason to worry about our frontcourt even if Petty doesn’t come back. Primo/Herb/Bruner are elite
