I know

He still has limited game experience and is somewhat of an unknown despite the pedigree

Kira didn’t exactly have a lot of experience either

That's all fair

I wouldn't necessarily confuse frontcourt roster churn for an immediate upgrade, though

He had a whole year of starting in 2018-19

As a 17 year old

I'd rather have an 18-year-old with a full year of starting experience versus a 20-year-old with none

Obviously but Quinerly and Kira is pretty much a wash

That may be true. That's not a certainty.

I highly doubt Petty to Primo is a wash, though.

Bruner would be a huge upgrade over any other big on your roster.

Petty to Primo isn’t a wash but we have actual depth this year

Any news on Williams and Smart?

Williams most likely gone, Smart and Watford most likely back.

I think its a little early to say that. Quinerly obviously has a ton of upside though.

Quinerly just fits better in our system

"System fit" definitely goes on "college basketball cliches" bingo

Why do you say that? Kira wasn't a bad fit.

It does get overused at times, good coaches will make things work regardless.

Although there are some systems that are more reliant on their "pieces" than others

He wasn’t a bad fit but he’s not that good of a ball handler. He’s much better off ball.

Quinerly is a much better shooter than Kira and can distribute the ball better

But even if he did play like a chicken with its head cut off at times, Kira may have been the fastest guard in transition in the country this year, which certainly goes well with Oats' system

I mean I guess we will find out but I really don't see anything that can support this.

I'm not all about using his time at Villanova as a standard, we all know he is better than that. Having said that, I don't expect him to shoot better than 36% from behind the arc.

I’m going off what Oats said about him on a podcast and what I’ve seen from watching them play

Not sure why any of you have faith we will do anything next year but the same thing we've done for a decade.

I'm interested to see Oats with a roster whose skillset and depth more so matches his system, but I just don't know how anybody can expect anything other than the norm.
