Prior to '12 expansion we played the other west teams (besides AU of course) home/away every 5 years.
That isn't the traditional SEC schedule.
Go back to before the original expansion to see.
For example, UGA has only played Miss St 24 times and 7 of those have come since the original expansion.

Hopefully late September.
If I were forced to guess I'd say it'll be on 9/28.
Weekends that are not currently scheduled are 9/28 - 10/19 and 11/2 - 11/23. 10/19 will surely be our bye week. UT/VU are going to be 10/5 and 10/12 if history is any indication. AU and UK are usually late seasons.
That leaves Mizz/SC/aTm as the remaining 3 games, and I don't believe we've ever played our 2nd West opponent late in the year. Granted that means SC will have to move to the back end but that's happened before.

ways thinking about Texas. Some things never change at A&M. Get over it. You were allowed - despite the wishes of most of the SEC - to join the best conference in the nation. You will never be top dog in the state of Texas no matter how much money you spend. You have one thing and one thing only to hang your hat on and that is your SEC membership. Forget Texas and worry about the next beating your team is going to suffer from the rest of the SEC

2 is the standard. We arguably have 5.

Man, I'd hate for you to have to miss the opportunity to see Georgia come to Aggy for first time in 12 years...cause you have to go shoot a duck.
I won’t miss the game....ducks fly on Friday’s, Sunday’s....hell most days of the week. Unless it’s on Labor Day weekend in some kind of kickoff classic at a neutral field, unlikely, the game will be on a Saturday. Wouldn’t be the first time I find myself in a duck blind or on a boat with a hangover. Nothing cures a hangover like a couple of bloody mary’s, 2s -3s in the pass making bait and a reel screaming.

Thats's actually true. The sec did want Texas but they declined. If Houston had a bigger school i think culturally and location wise it would be a even better fit than a&m.

No I was talking abotu 2019, but I didn't realize there was an extra week to start the season so basically my entire post was inaccurate.

Oh, German was talking about 2024, and his trip to Texas to hunt.
Your post was still accurate for 2019 imo. Off weeks in October and November.
