Whatever happened to the college all stars playing the nfl? That used to be a thing. Never turned out well for the college players....
Rod Vander Kelen would like a word...
"In August 1963, he was named the starter in the Chicago College All-Star Game (a game which pitted college all-stars selected from the graduating class from the previous season against the NFL champion) over a group of quarterbacks which included 1962 Heisman Trophy winner Terry Baker. The college all-stars defeated the Green Bay Packers 20-17, with a 74-yard touchdown completion to his college teammate, Pat Richter, providing the winning touchdown. Vander Kelen was named the game MVP.[3] The 1963 game would prove to be the last time the college all-stars defeated the NFL champion in this series."

God no. Just stop this nonsense.

Why?
The best college team could not beat the worst NFL team. Ever.

There is a much bigger step up in talent and athleticism from college to pro than there is from high school to college.
I wouldn’t go that far, especially if we’re talking averages. I think the average major college football team would fare much better against the average NFL team than the average high school team would fare against an average major college team. Not every high school team is like Hoover.
The average major college team would get blown out by the average NFL team, but the average high school team might not even make a tackle against the average major college team and they would need plenty of ambulances on hand.

LOL - I love it but Ezekiel Elliot ran all over Bama at Ohio State. Hate to see what he would do with an NFL line....even one as janky as Dallas

2013 and 2014 were some of the least talented Bama defenses though. No way would he have ran over 2015 or 2016 defenses. The talent level was completely different.
This 2018 defense is somewhere in the middle of those. Bama has lost a lot of talent the last two years.

Would you rather bet
A) hogs beat bama
B) bama beats Dallas cowboys
I'd say similar odds. A) would be a safer bet.
This thread is stupid.
