That win does at least a couple of things for Vandy. It allows Sheffield and Wright to start on their normal rest this week and it gives all these freshmen more much-needed tournament experience against elite competition.

Could very well lose today. It's just going to be a bullpen day today and Alabama is throwing their ace. Not really playing for much though.

I think South Carolina is the only top 4 seed that actually needs to win one or two.
Even if they don't it still might be enough for a national seed. I'd rather take at least one though

if south carolina goes 0-2 or 1-2 and lsu wins the tournament i could easily see them taking carolina's national seed.

We'll see if the SEC gets 4 national seedx. I don't think any conference has gotten that may before.
Now what do you do if say an LSU or Ole Miss win the Tournamet? national seed? Some years the committee seems to place more value than others in the tournament. This year the field is loaded.

Nobody has ever gotten 4, but if the SEC doesn't get a 4th this year rioting may happen.
I just don't see how you can only have 3 from the SEC. They're almost deserving of 5.

The SEC tournament this year is loaded with top teams. I would think if there was a year to use the tournament as a measuring stick and decision maker for national seeds, its this year. If a team on the fence like Ole Miss, SC, or LSU manage to win this thing, I believe they will get a top 8 seed. Just my opinion.

If we win 1 or 2, we will definitely get a top 8 seed unless Ole Miss, LSU or Vandy make it to the final game.

Yeah that's the rub this year. The west deserves absolutely 0. Someone HAS to get a national seed. You can't just give it to a scrub fullerton team with an rpi in the 50s just because you don't want the sec getting 4.

hell if you win 2 i'd say those team have to win the tournament, not just make the final. even then it would be close. if you only win 1 and one of those teams wins the tournament...i'd have to lean towards carolina not getting it.
