The quality of golfer in the SEC is insane today. Let alone all of D1. Absolutely ridiculous talent and to think but a tiny fraction of even SEC golfers have a shot at the PGA is wild.

Update after 2 of 3 completed rounds.
Auburn, Vandy, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, State, Oklahoma and Texas are in good shape.

Tennessee is 6 shots back
Florida is 7 shots back
LSU is 6 shots back
Ole Miss is 7 shots back
Texas A&M is 11 shots back
Missouri is 12 shots back

Some pretty highly ranked teams are about to miss the cut.

Every regional is led by an SEC team except for Stanford. That is incredibly impressive

And there is no SEC team in that region.

T3. Colorado (-11)
T3. Texas Tech (-11)
5. N. Florida (-10)
6. Duke (-8)

Next few are:

Those standings are just stupid. Every regional that has an SEC school in it is led by an SEC school. Georgia is murdering it; 6th seed, ranked 34th nationally; has a 10 stroke lead going into final round. Crazy.

Equally crazy is that 4 SEC teams all ranked top 20 overall coming in.. are in serious danger of missing the cut.. behind unranked teams

10 Florida
(down 7 to unranked Michigan State)

12 Tennessee
(down 19 to unranked Chattanooga)

14 Texas A&M
(down 11 to unranked N. Illinois)

20 Ole Miss
41 LSU
(7/8 behind unranked Colorado)

Both of those stats are crazy.

Arkansas is playing out of its mind these first 2 rounds. Program bests in regional play by a long shot. 7 strokes clear of 2nd and 14 strokes clear of 3rd with one round remaining.

Look at the discrepency of scores between AU regional and Las Vegas regional. What Mickey Mouse course are you playing at to be -42 after two rounds?

Florida golfing well today and making a late push.

Texas needs to hang on if they want to make NCAA championships for the 16th straight year. Got off to a very sluggish start this morning.

Still plenty of golf to be played, but in the Bath regional it looks like Georgia(-28), Illinois(-21), Oregon(-13), and Texas(-13) will make it through barring disaster.

Florida is in a fight for 5th place, the last qualifying spot, and trail Kansas State(-8) by one stroke(-7),

Texas hangs on. Florida needs to protect a 2-stroke lead with 6 total holes remaining to fend off K State for the last spot in the top 5 of the Bath regional
