The only reason this case came back was the accuser saw $ signs once Winston blew up as a college QB. They will end up settling the lawsuit with a monetary deal that will be paid once Winston goes pro after next year.

It seems like you'd only schedule an announcement on something like this if you were going to say no charges are being filed.
Imagine how hilarious though it would be if things unfolded such that Auburn faces and beats OSU because Winston caught a case.

Not so sure you can drop rape charges once the process starts, unless the victim takes blame and says they filed a false police report. It's a violent felony, so it'd be up to the prosecutor I would imagine.

Pretty sure they can beat Duke without Winston. This is actually better than him getting charged after the game. This way FSU gets the backup playing time plus it proves to the voters they are capable of winning without Winston. I think it's better for FSU in long run.

If they were going to charge him you'd think he would just be arrested instead of having a press conference to talk about it.
