Yeah a contractor has been selected but I don't think the full/final details are public yet.

My guess is they are gonna build a club level above the student section as that is where the bulk of the entertainment district is gonna go.

East and West side of the stadium probably aren’t getting touched outside of enhancing the bathrooms and concessions.

This is what we should really do.
Demolish the top 1/4 of the stadium.
Build an upper deck with an over hang on top of the remaining 3/4 of the stadium that brings the fans closer to the field makes the stadium steeper and traps the noise and bounces it back onto the field like Autzen.

Acoustics make the stadium louder.
The loudest stadium in the nfl is only 68k seats. It’s all about acoustics.

That's what I thought but then this is what the Clarion Ledger says. I honestly can't get my mind around that

Ole Miss canceled previous plans for a full demolition of the stadium's west side due to cost. Instead, the university is building 10 new "Founders Suites" on top of the current west-side press box. This project costs $5 million per suite and is set to open for the 2027 season.

The expansion plan is to add seats to general seating plus add more club seats. That is aside from the Founder Suites which only adds about 200 seats. Kiffin convinced Carter to halt the West side plans years ago due to NIL. I think it was a good idea. It allowed us to get out in front of the NIL race.

Inflation is what also contributed to that considering we had a budget for construction and it went up to 2x the original estimate in a short amount of time.

But why are they talking about putting suites on top of the press box?

For one it will look ridiculous.

And for two it will prevent us from tearing that shite down. I don't get it.

The drawings actually look pretty nice.

The entire stadium is a mess. It's 4 different stadiums stuck together.

Our stadium isn't that shitty. I don't really care about how the concourse needs a renovation. A new (big video board) is totally worth it and will make VHS more appealing

I believe that was announced before the new entertainment district/ expansion was announced. Whoever wins the RFP for the entertainment district is also doing the expansion and are probably given the ability to design how the expansion will look.

My guess is they stack a club level onto the student section. Most logical location for the new seats.

It's not just club seats being added. Carter specifically mentioned adding seats for students. That would mean they would have to add some general seats somewhere. I have a feeling they will add some rows to the top of the student section.

Nothing matches or is consistent. It's four sides, mashed together from different lego sets. Fail.

And the concrete under the West side is great if you want to break an ankle. We just keep doubling down and stacking shite instead of putting any real plan together for something nice.

Follow the Seahawks blueprint. Lumen field has a 68,000-person capacity and you can't hear yourself think during a game.
