Might as well get a thread going so we can keep everything in one place. I’m going to try and go if it doesn’t rain.

I am just really interested to see Corral's arm. A good QB can mask a really bad team.

Spring football should be outlawed by the NCAA.

Yeah I’m going because I’ll be in town and might as well. Want to see Matt’s arm.

Probably won't have very many people there but It's so hard for me to say what that would exactly mean. (Yeah I get some will say nobody is excited) I'm a lifelong Rebel fan and go to many games during the season, but never consider going to a spring practice game. Have not been even once. It's not football season. I get Bama and Tennessee put 50k in the stands for theirs but I don't really get why. I'd honestly very much enjoy just attending a normal practice session, but not the other.

Is he trying to throw it into double and triple coverage every time?

We already seem better coached to me. I’m sure we will disappoint in the end but I’m grateful for our new coordinators.

It should be very much expected that this is going to be very vanilla and probably not everyone being on the same page.

Between how many impact positions are being replaced and brand new coordinators, don't really take anything away from this Spring game.

....for better or for worse

Dent looked better than I expected and liked the announcers talking about different types of tackling drills for the different position groups..imagine that

I am thankful for the spring game, because it gives me something to watch to kill time in between baseball games today

Why wouldn't I watch? We finally scheduled an opponent that we can't lose against.

I lol'd when I saw an ESPN article that said "Corral Rallies the Rebels" or something like that

Snoop Conner looks like he has a bright future, Corral has savvy to go with the talent but he’s not gonna be able to take a lot of punishment. We have to be careful with that. Tylan Knight is one heck of an athlete. He’s just so small but I can’t help but be reminded of the name Dexter McCluster. And of course Scottie Phillips should be nothing but better and he was dang good last year. Our receivers are very solid still, we have a really good stable of backs and the O-line is comprised of cerebral guys which could be huge as long as they stay healthy.
As usual they won’t get the press but it starts with them.

I still see guys who need to develop physically or we’ll get pushed around like we did many times last year. We have to be a smart football team. Be where we are supposed to be especially on defense. We’ve also got to be far more balanced offensively. None of this is rocket science but we actually have to do it. We have to swarm to the ball and be able to make tackles. Qaadir Sheppard, Charles Wiley, Mohamed Sanogo, etc. need to have good years.

As I’ve said, I get it, a lot of folks aren’t excited but if we can get off to a good start that will change dang near overnight. I’m not certain what the crowd was yesterday but I saw a decent amount there especially considering there was a baseball game going on at the same time with several thousand in the stands. LSU looked to have had about the same amount relatively speaking considering they draw like 30k more for a regular season game than we do. Next year, let's get our band out like LSU did... makes for a much for festive atmosphere. Let’s just get to 6 wins and take it from there.
