3 Star C from Gulfport pulled the trigger this morning.

ETA: landing kids from the coast is a good sign

I cannot think of the last time Ole Miss offered a player from Harrison Central, much less had one on the roster.

All 6 of the committed high school kids are in-state. We have 30 scholarship offers out to in-state players and Mississippi State isn't even the largest competition for most of them. This class could make a legacy for Luke if he doesn't squash it.

frick giving him a chance. Hes so in over his head it's ridiculous. Go get someone with some sort of head coaching experience.
--------------------------------------------

Everyone is well aware of where you stand on the Luke hire.

Nobody gave Freeze much of a chance, and all he did was beat Bama twice.

Maybe you know more about Luke than the rest of us. I've only had casual conversations with him and his family through the years, so I'm not an insider for sure.

But he hasn't done a bad job so far, under very difficult circumstances. So he has at least earned an opportunity to be the head coach of the Rebels.

I think everyone had more confidence in freeze than we do in luke.

Freeze was winning as a HC at lower tier schools and had helped Ed bring talent to Oxford; we bitched about Luke recruiting and coaching for years before he got the HC job.

Nahh it was all the same shite.

“Letting the Tuohy family ruin this university”

“Wow WAOM who is this guy”

“Can’t even get a big name like Mike Leach”

“No other open job in the SEC is looking at Freeze. This is a terrible hire”

“Dude is a high school women’s basketball coach and coached under the worst coach we’ve ever had”

We went with Freeze over Kirby Smart because Smart wanted more money than we were willing to give. In hindsight, that was a horrible mistake.

He'll get it. Much easier to get an overweight tackle into playing shape than it is to try and make a tackle out of tight end.

If it's a recruit worth a damn, probably not getting him

Regardless of your opinion of the Luke hire, which you’ve made crystal clear multiple times, frick off with that attitude, especially if you’re going to be lazy enough not to realize Payton is a JUCO WR we’ve already signed...

I’m not a fan of the Luke hire at all, but we actually inked a few competitive croots in the last cycle, which would’ve been a harder cycle to win over kids anyway. Hell, we inked a high 4* QB from California, a state from where we couldn’t win shite under Freeze

Yeah. A kid with attitude issues that schools in his own state were backing off of. The same recruit that posted on social media about how bored he was during his visit to Oxford.

This staff, until they prove otherwise, doesn't deserve the support they will get because they are hilariously under qualified

The issue is that you’re talking about kids who actually did commit and sign to us, so you’re just being bitchy for the sake of being bitchy

I'm going to wait until the results of the 2019 recruiting class since apparently Ole Miss should have a top 10 class at the end of Feb. 2019.

This next season is going to be a wash since there are no real changes between this past season and this next season. However, the failure to capitalize on the opportunities of the 2019 recruiting class and the exit of the highly rated 2016 recruiting class before the 2019 season could result in the end of Matt's tenure as head coach very quickly.
