Will be interesting next year after having four or five guys go in the top two rounds on offense. This may be a historically bad team.

Luke’s mississippi made BS pisses me off even more knowing this. We can go recruit in Arkansas for OL but we can’t even convince in state guys to come play here over MS state. Bama has more MS defensive players than we do

I can't stand Luke but we have Williams (4 star LB from Mississippi) so, while your point is valid, your statement is slightly inaccurate. Either way, we are supposed to be behind Mr. Bluecollar, hard knuckled, whatever working-man bullshite, #MississippiMade... yet he is not getting the Mississippi players. We signed some good guys in this class but we are not landing the elite players from our home state, which is the problem. We are 9th in the SEC in recruiting. How are we supposed to rebuild when the other teams are getting better players than we are?

Yes, this whole blue collar thing is just retarded. It's a complete departure from the classic Ole Miss. "Hotty Toddy" means that we think we are better than you. Blue collar, while noble, is not elite. It's just another identity thing being thrown in the buring trash can that is Ole Miss leadership. I don't want to be identified as a blue collar school from the south. Nobody aspires to that position. No sir, I would rather be from the hoity toity school in the South that is elitist, snobish, stuck-up, high and mighty. That is who we are.

I don’t care what we identify as as long as we don’t bat .000 for every decent in state defensive player. It cannot be that hard. Every other school including State can convince these kids to play for them except us. Bama and state are destroying us right now on that side of the ball.

Every other school has their coaching positions solidified. OM HC is a promoted Interim and OLine coach, not hired on as HC from the start. The entire offense (except WR coach) is up in the air. We just hired a new Def. coord. 2 weeks ago. This class was always going to be a disaster because we don't have any continuity to stand on. This is extremely sad because we are arguably in a better position now than where we were a month ago.

Luke will fail miserably. I don't doubt that in the least. However, recruiting impacts us longterm. I would like to see something better than 9th in the SEC for sure. This class, although it includes good aspects, is an overall failure and is classically mediocre.

Looking probable that we land Dean and Jones. Gordon is leaning OM. Plumlee still up for grabs. Young is a difference maker on the dline and we still have a shot with him.
