The NCAA will let anybody who wants to transfer, transfer. The waivers will be
granted. This is worse than it looks. We will wind up recruiting 2 or 3 stars for the next
few years. You can’t compete in the Sec West recruiting at that level.

I disagree. They would have just ruled any player can transfer without restriction

Do you really think the NCAA willforce players to stay at Ole Miss when the players claim they were lied to ? You have Mars already lining up a lawsuit to force this very issue.

May be possible NCAA was soft on Freeze for all his cooperation.
But Ole Miss should have handled it all differently. Period. UNC has fake classes. Auburn gave em the middle finger over Cam-Gate. It’s just frustrating for sure.

Ole Miss handled this like a cuck.

Reading Freeze’s press releases makes me fricking nauseous. I hope they run him out of town and his house sits vacant with no buyers for the next twenty years and he has to write a check to the state for taxes to help recoup some of he money he swindled from us.

Shea to Michigan
Anyone know if there is any truth to this? This seems contrary to everything Shea has said in the past about being the leader during these times, if he never played football ole miss is where he would be etc.... Can’t fault the kid for leaving, but there’s a right way and wrong way to go about it. Hope this report is incorrect and maybe he’s just trolling people, but if these coaches are talking to him and his family or any of the non-seniors, I hope they get reported and these schools get blocked as potential destinations. If we’re going to get penalized for breaking rules it would be nice to see the NCAA show some backbone and at least be consistent and punish others. Hope this is wrong and Shea breaks every passing record next year in an Ole Miss jersey, but starting to seem like a where there’s smoke there’s fire situation.

What would happen if the entire SEC gave the NCAA the bird and said frick you we are starting our own new system?
Things I’d want to see:
-Players getting paid a small “salary” since they can’t hold a full time job. This eliminates the need for boosters to sling cash (it will still happen no matter what but this would help)
-Players being able to profit off jersey sales copying the NFL’s system.
-Players being able to have sponsors (local or national), push products on social media, etc.
-set up investment funds that pull 50% so the players can’t touch half until they are no longer eligible to play.
Think of Players like Cody Prewitt or even Bo Wallace.. Guys were loved in oxford and would have been set up for life on endorsements and jersey sales while they were in college.. Didn’t make it in the pros so now their shot to make money off image is gone. NCAA and the school made all the money while they are back to being just another guy like us.

Multiple sites are reporting that he has asked for a release
Posted on 12/2/17 at 1:12 pm to No Colors
We granted it to him, so now we are going to have to grant that to anyone. Our administration continues to be prove they are a joke.
Posted on 12/2/17 at 1:50 pm to rebsfan10
He'll still have to sit a year. And I'm sure the release is only for non SEC schools
Posted on 12/2/17 at 1:57 pm to Col Reb is my mascot
Yeah non-SEC and no one on our schedule the next 2 years. A lot of comments from UM fans seem to not really want him because they have 2 good QBs right now and it’ll cause controversy... unless he brings G Little with him...

If the NCAA was going to give anyone free reign to transfer, they would have made that part of the penalties. If they do it now they are setting a precedent. Do you think they are going to cave just because a player lawyers up? That's just encouraging other players to do the same in the future
Posted on 12/2/17 at 4:08 pm to umrebel96
Yeah I do. The NCAA will claim this is a special circumstance to kick this can down the road and has no desire to help Ole Miss out on this issue.
