The NFL will never hire Kiffin back. It just won't happen. I think Kiffin gets the lights and stage at LSU that he just wouldn't ever get at Ole Miss. As much as he hates being around people, he loves being the center of attention. Just always remember that Lane Kiffin will always believe that his own brand is bigger than the brand of his current job.

Lane will leave LSU to take over Buc's NFL jobs when it comes open

I think he’d be a horrible NFL coach anyway, but you never know what’s running through the minds of these coaches.

Not a single NFL team would touch him.

Yeah we said the same thing.

Yeah, except the ride doesn't just stop. It fricking self-destructs everything in its path as it stops.

I’m not so sure. They hired Chip Kelly after his shine had worn off. And I’m not sure not having success with the Raiders is a reason to bar someone from coaching in those circles. Hell, for some, it’s been a career boost.

Who is the last coach who jumped to the nfl from college and had success?
Spurrier failed
Saban failed
Urban failed
Lane has literally already failed

I’m not saying they’re rational actors. They love making the same mistakes over and over and over again. Can’t wait for Josh McDaniel to get a head coaching job again.

All true but they were coaching athletes who weren't making millions in college. Now...what's the difference? Unlimited resources in the NFL and you don't have to re-recruit at season's end. That'd be enough for me to jump.

I was genuinely asking.
Jim Harbaugh? Although he started in the NFL. Pete Carrol? I believe he started in the nfl too. Maybe Jimmy Johnson?
It’s rare.
I do think lsu won’t be able to keep their NIL support up especially if nothing materializes the next two seasons. Maybe yolo for year three and then Texas or Bama opens up. Or he gets run out of town.

Not that I think it will happen, but can they afford to run him off within the next five years? The buyout would be astronomical.

They can always just sell an extra 5% to private equity.

Seems Borkey reads the TigerDroppings and rant by his tweet this morning.

I wouldn't take a check from them but according to their entire fan base on the main page the money flows like a river that never ends. They just sit on stacks of cash and use it like furniture in BR. (that's called a joke for the record keeping, out of context quoting douche canoes)
