Bruh, we are not settling for 7-8 wins per year . . . because we aren’t winning 7-8 game per year right now

Our fanbase complains about “settling” for 7-8 wins per year when we’ve won less than that 13 of the past 26 seasons

We don’t need to worry about winning titles when we can’t even consistently win 66% of our regular season games. Winning titles doesn’t need to drive our program right now. Consistent success does. It’s something we haven’t had since the 1960s.

Second time: don’t put the cart before the horse.

Sheesh.

You dont win with schemes in this league. You win with players. This guy has never had a class in the 30s at any school. We aren't winning with that. Period.

Terrible argument considering Freeze schemed his way into beating Bama with inferior talent twice.

All this whole conversation is proving, at least to me, is that there are a host of good coaches out there who would jump at the opportunity to make $4-5 million a year, coach in the SEC and live in what is considered to be one of the better college towns in the country.

I can’t speak for the coaches, but Oxford and our program are, without a doubt, better than Iowa State, Washington State, Houston, UAB, Troy, etc.

This has been a debate for years. Some people want to be average. Some like myself dont give a damn about being average. At a place like OM we cant recruit on the level of a Bama/LSU consistently. That being the case there will be ups and downs. I'd rather have the teams with the highs and lows.

Which is why we can't afford to try and build a team that plays like LSU or Bama. Powerful offensive minds like Freeze and Leach are the perfect fit for a school like ours. If they can take us to a level like we were at in 2014-2015 without getting date-raped by the NCAA...then we can recruit consistently on a level to play like them.

Leach wishes he could recruit like Freeze.

He would do fine if he had the boosters throwing money around for him. Maybe not top 5 but he could get top 15

Leach has never had a top 25 class. What makes you think he could pull a top 15 class? The argument isnt based on anything.

Once again Freeze gave the plan. A coach that can recruit who is a offensive minded guy.

Again, he's been at Texas Tech and Washington State. Nutt was a shite recruiter and when he got to Ole Miss, he magically put together decent classes. Our boosters plus the campus are what the draw is

Wrong. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Nutt recruiting classes:
2000- 16
2001- 9
2002- 25
2003- 42
2004- 18
2005-26
2006-22

It’s more impressive to me that Leach was close to winning the big 12 and taking Tech to the BCS with a bunch of average players, and now he’s doing the same thing with a transfer QB and more 3 stars at Washington State. All it would take is a strong assistant coach to organize and spearhead recruiting plus the network putting in work. He would dominate here and we would sell out of season tickets because the man not only coaches but he entertains.

Are you Ross Bjork? If so, go fire the staff and then resign.

He cost WSU $1.6m by being dumb on twitter

I'm not saying we shouldn't hire him, but this will be included when making a decision.

With how conservative our fanbase is that probably would've resulted in an extra $1.6 M
