8. Ethan Surowiec DH
9. Owen Paino SS

Friday: Hunter Elliott
Saturday: Grant Richardson
Sunday: Cade Townsend

There's probably a 95% chance that Elliott goes pro and won't be back next year. I could see Utermark getting drafted too.

Furniss is going to have to put in some work and turn the corner defensively or he'll have to DH. I don't follow baseball recruiting but Bianco has to bring in a good defensive 1B to push him and eventually take over the position in the Fall.

If I'm understanding correct, sounds like Keith isn't going to extend Mike's contract (in which Mike will be in the final year of his contract).

He was extended after the 2022 natty. That was through 2026. He has not been extended since. So he's in his last year. That's the way I understand it anyhow.

Luke hill and Coy James both drafted in the 5th so can count both of them out for next year. Hill was always going to be gone but I was holding out hope James might make it. Nationals have been drafting underslot guys so I'm assuming they were saving up for him in the 5th.

Murray state finalized their head coach to a new contract $240,000 a year

He should absolutely be our next hire after Mike. What they do with little resources is fantastic .

No. He had one good year at Murray State. We can do way fricking better than that. It would be the equivalent of us hiring Jacksonville State’s head coach after the 2010 season because they beat us and had a good year.

He had one school that showed interest in him this year and that was Duke. That should tell you something

We are a bigger program than this. We should be taking guys that have years of winning at bigger programs, not a flash in the pan type guy. This would likely be our Lemonis. If he can move up and have sustained success at a bigger program, only then should we take a look.

Correct. He would be in way over his head. This would be like in the corporate world where a guy gets promoted based on delivering one successful project. Those rarely work out.
