Remember Tobias Singleton? He did the same stuff was talented but inconsistent and got paid to do the same routine. Hope Franklin doesn’t think he’s getting a raise after this year

I don't think Franklin is 100%. I also don't think he will ever be 100% this year.

We will need receivers next year. Does Franklin have any eligibility after this year?

I would think since he has played so little he could apply for a medical redshirt but I don’t know the rules around that

Oh yes. Was one of Nutt’s bigger busts. Along with Enrique Davis

Forgive me if it's already been answered, but did Jared Ivey come back after leaving on that final A&M possession? He's big for us and we need him in there.

Ivey definitely played after the injury but could have just been adrenaline. Didn’t see Ukwu again after he went out.

our momentum v. Where they currently are is our chance to bury them.

This may never happen, but neither side would be normal if it didn't at least cross your mind during a season like this. If it were to ever happen, the current scenario is one that could allow for it.

This happens at least once a decade. And then one of us hires a coach or AD that performs WAY above expectations and revives the program. You can bet that their next coach will be an up and comer who will do some Dan Mullen shite.

And honestly... I embrace it. The heated rivalry is more fun and exciting. I appreciate Dan for that

I disagree. It is a huge reason we got nailed by the NCAA. It made the rivalry more toxic than it needed to be. Kiffin and Leach were a breath of fresh air together

We aren't competing against MSU, in all honesty. It isn't them that keeps bringing us down, it is ourselves. In the past, we would get a good coach just to watch them leave and not put up a fight. Finally, with Kiffin, we had an AD actually put it all out there, so instead of 2023 being a year of breaking in a new coaching staff, we are in the top 10.

State has nothing to do with the equation.

Mostly true. You certainly got to be willing to pony up these days. However, the success of an arch rival most definitely impacts the state of urgency you feel for your own program.
