Yeah I am in a holding pattern with them until I see if the vitriol returns. It was great under the Pirate and I actually cheered them on when they were not play the Rebels. Then this past year it started heading back to the Muffins feel.

On a different note the Nolan smoke is supposedly legit. It Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas but the catch is it may be a package deal that we would be willing to take Jacoby Mathew’s & Bryce Anderson also!

The feeling is 50/50 Stinka will go to State (Rivals thinks so while On3 thinks we win out) and that Collin’s will flip on signing day but Pittman is trying hard to hold him.

Now I want some OL help!

That’s mighty decent of him to do that, but I wouldn’t be mad at him if he didn’t.

I think he’s hoping he can help raise his draft stock on a national stage.

Kind of feel bad for State. Bring Lebby in and feel so confident they’re going to get Gabriel.

If they don’t get him it’s going to be rough.

This kind of sucks. Especially Magee. WR was thin and Wade and Harris are gone after the bowl game.

Harris is not necessarily gone. Also, we picked up a potential superstar yesterday.

Sarcasm is noted. Just stating I'd like to hedge the bet is all.

You’re not wrong. It does suck. Fingers are crossed Tre stays and the rest play up to their potential.

Tre Harris didn’t like his draft grade

Harris needs to work on getting separation before the catch. In our games this year, he was either an all star or he was completely shut down. There wasn't anything in between. If they had a good DB on him, he was so covered that we wouldn't even throw it his way.

Lots of smoke today that A&M will hold onto him. He still hasn't entered the transfer portal either.

I haven’t done any inquiry into this because I feel like it’s a very sore subject, but Neal’s post about the blue bloods offering our players ridiculous figures to leave is very telling that they are worried. They want us to pony up to retain our own players instead of being able to spend money on portal players. This is the cost of being a team that is nipping on the heels of being a top 10-15 program. It sucks, but there is a silver lining to it.

Pete, you can tell me if this is accurate or not but I heard Georgia is contacting and offering Judkins a sizable chunk of money. They asked him not to enter the portal so he doesn’t get contacted by every coach across the country. They’re apparently trying to keep it low key

Oklahoma Safety Key Lawrence took an OV today.

Senior transfer with 1 year to play 1 season.

Oklahoma rivals site:

quote:

Lawrence has played in 36 games across the last three seasons for the Sooners, recording a total of 149 tackles, 15 pass breakups and two interceptions. However, his playing time had begun to dwindle at Oklahoma, a trend that would likely have continued had he returned to Norman in 2024.

quote:

Lawrence is listed at 6-foot-1 and 206 pounds, and has played in 46 total games during his time at Tennessee and Oklahoma. He's seen snaps at safety, at corner and at nickel, and his versatility and experience should create a solid market for his services in the portal.

Contracts are the way to go about this in the future. Tie guys down for X amount of years at a set price. If they want a higher salary it either has to be agreed upon by both parties OR goes to an MLB style arbitration hearing, and you’re only arb eligible after your sophomore year unless you start 8+ games your freshman year. The tapping up that every team in the country does is complete bullshite and illegal in every other governed sport on earth.
