Not sure if good or bad. Typically our pitcher recruiting has been bad outside of a Friday night guy.

The way both of our portal recruiting is going I think we may just not have any NIL money for baseball.

Yeah football is obviously taking up the majority of resources and then I have to think in order to hold on to Beard we had to increase NIL for basketball a decent amount. Leaving nothing for baseball

Can we send Bianco to A&M? They took our trash with Bjork I propose we push Bianco there as well

They won’t have him.
Surely we have people in contact with aTm players that are looking to make a move.

We have picked up a center fielder from the portal.. it’s not out there yet but I have it solidly sourced
They wouldn’t tell me who.
Also that the people we lost in the transfer portal, they weren’t sad about losing and didn’t beg them to stay

Andrew Fischer and Liam Doyle are big losses. Wes Mendez showed some promise late in the season and could be a big loss as well.
Everyone else won't be missed.

Huge. Losing Fischer is like losing TJ who hit like .360 at Alabama or something. We are picking up guys who had decent seasons at low tier schools in low tier conferences. It's a complete catastrophe at this point with no visible sign of it getting better

Glad we won that title when we did. It’s amazing how far we fell off from like 4 years ago

Not firing bianco is Keith’s biggest misstep as AD. It reeks of the GOB network

I'm trying to put myself in Keith's shoes. So let's say he had a short list of three candidates to replace Bianco. And all three said No. Then he was probably right to retain him one more year to try to get his man. The only thing worse than keeping Bianco would have been making a Matt Luke hire.
I just can't believe Bianco can't recruit and hang onto high caliber SEC players we have a great town, great facilities, great fan support. All in Top 5 nationally. Yet we've been collectively below 500 in SEC play for at least the last 5 years. It doesn't add up. Someone has to take responsibility.

Money isn’t a limiting factor for guys either from the grove collective standpoint
And flat out asked my guy in the program a few nights ago, what’s the budget like? Does that change ?
He said we have no budget. We tell the grove collective we want this guy for this much and the money is there. We really have no constraints money wise to get whomever we need to get

Soooo… we have Tennessee poaching our players now.
That should tell you all you need to know about the talent level of the players versus the talent level of our coaching.

Lots of heads need to roll if Bianco is leading the program to the seasons we have had recently while operating with no budget.

I agree.. I was sort of shocked when he told me that…I was under the impression there was a pool of money say a million or whatever the number is for the roster … but nope… it’s basically an ATM with no limit at all
I’m thinking.. our guys are getting poached and we are settling for some no name shortstop from Illinois state that hit 240 or whatever .
Like with no constraints.. this is the scraps we are left to fight over … definitely concerning..

It’s illogical that what he said is true. Otherwise we would have the 35 best players in college baseball signed up for next year rather than losing players to the portal while taking no name players from Illinois St, St. Joseph’s, etc.
I’m sure what he meant was that there was no predetermined / set amount and that if they were approached they could potentially increase the budget to $X, if it made sense.

I’d imagine at this point there is a limit on baseball. Most is going to football and basketball.

I'l say what we are all thinking re: baseball next year, and probably for a couple years beyond that, even if Coach Bianco "retires":
We are fricked.

Yea we have never had issues getting good players. This has to be a NIL issue.
