Maybe this works out like the Matt Luke/Joe Moorehead scenario. Or at least that first part.

They must have had the disappointment article for the baseball season prewritten. That thing was up on 247 right when the game ended

Wish list for 2025 season:
-new coaching staff or at least new hitting and a pitching coach not named Mike Bianco
-more NIL money to get high school talent on campus and better power 5 transfers

What we will get:
-another hype video about how last year was unacceptable
-mike not changing anything

If he stays Bianco is on the hottest possible seat

I just don’t get giving him an ultimatum of supers or bust

If you’re that close to firing him anyway, go in and do it . What a couple more million these days .

Start over and don’t punt 2025 bc how can you have any confidence this team can do much better ?

They don’t do anything well except frick up and be unclutch

It's pretty simple to me. If we can get Godwin, Bianco is gone.

If we can't get a commitment from Godwin then we need to bite the bullet and give him another year.

I am not in favor of firing Mike Bianco and then waiting to see who's available and hoping it works out

We definitely do not want to get into the cycle of looking for coaches every few years.

Well, he was basically given that ultimatum a few years ago except it was “Omaha or bust”. He performs well under the most pressure possible it seems

Why keep him? He was gone in 2022.
He’s had back to back losing seasons.
If he gets to a super next year and chokes for the 8th time do you just keep kicking the can down the road? The program is stagnant and we have another former assistant outshining Bianco who we could easily get.
The man obviously can’t handle the transfer portal/ NIL era.

If he comes back hopefully the fans won’t.

As much as I want Bianco gone, I don’t want his last game as our coach to be a run rule loss to Mississippi State.

So it was a heartbreak walk off where he brought in a starter into a closer role, and then called to pitch to their best hitter instead of walk him with 2 outs and 1B open. Then calls a straight fast ball when the guy is sitting first pitch dead red . And he hits it 420 feet. The man was swinging as soon as it left the pitcher's hand. So many Biancos in that one situation. It made too much sense not to happen.

All of this should be enough evidence for Keith to fire him. Too bad he won't step down or retire.

Don't blame him. Who would want to play for a lameduck coach next year?

Exactly. Get ready for an announcement that Bianco is back, then an announcement that Godwin is taking _______ job, and then a crap '25 and a crap coaching search. We should hire Ray Tanner from USC to run the search. WAOM.

Keith Carter must not care about the baseball program.

Might as well not even have a team next year because it will be a wasted season. Embarrassing.

He’s between a rock and a hard place. He’s the longest tenured coach in the SEC and won a national title 2 years ago. Running him off after two bad years even though it seems like the obvious thing to do would piss off a lot of people in coaching circles.
If we have another season like we did this year and Bianco still refuses to step down though, Carter needs to have his job up for question.

Wish the fans would send a message and not buy tickets and show their displeasure that way

I hate this move so much. Setting up for so much fan apathy when it starts going off the rails for 2025
