Had to make it interesting but job is complete. Hopefully Townsend is locked in tonight and we can just end the regional then.

More 2014 than 2022 I think. We don’t have a DeLucca establishing himself as an ace that can throw a complete game. Townsend and Rabe remind me more of Ellis and Trent. But as long as the season ends in Omaha it’s all good.

Waters might be our closer next season while Calhoun will be a weekend starter. I liked giving LW the ball there but what I really liked was pulling him after two groundball singles. The old Bianco with no pitching coach leaves him out there to face the #9 hitter. Decker has to stop with the sliding crap and backhand a groundball, put his foot in the ground and throw the slow baserunner out at 1B. Calhoun's the clubhouse leader for Regional MVP.

I was implying he doesn't leave via the draft or transfer elsewhere but you already knew that Hamzoo.

I think it's odd that we had to play the 9th inning this morning. I thought games that got suspended after the 7 innings were considered complete.

At some point ASU's supposedly bad bullpen has to show up. It's too bad Nebraska decided to not show up today.
