It's probably a good idea to not say, "I'd love the Ole Miss job!" when coaching another team. Idk.

Crazy to think an alumn wouldn’t even want this job.

I don't think that's totally fair, but no an alum that is coaching a team with a lot more $$ in basketball and a lot more tradition is not taking this job.

There are plenty of quality coaches interested in this job. My vote is for Hardaway. It might blow up in our faces, or it might just work out beautifully. Still...

I think it'd be awesome to get Penny because he'd recruit Memphis better than Memphis and Tennessee combined, and it'd be hilarious to see the melt from Tiger High basketball fans who were pissed they hired Tubby over Penny last go 'round. I do think Penny is a good coach that will command the respect of the team though, but I also think we'd be running a pretty fast and loose recruiting program and would get nuked sooner rather than later

I'm on board with this. I'll also say that no matter what your feelings are of AK, he made this job a lot more desirable with a lot of hard work. The only thing about Hardaway that scares me is this FBI stuff. He's very connected.

I have zero problem with Any Kennedy. He ran a clean program it would appear for a long time. It was just time for a change. There should be no hard feelings either way.

I agree. His teams always looked sloppy though. I thought him to be a decent recruiter and poor x's and o's guy.

Kermit Davis would do a very good job at Ole Miss if he's surrounded by some great recruiters

Isn't he a State alum? Why didn't State or LSU take a look at him with their vacancies? Does he not wanna leave MTSU or something?

Why the frick did we announce we’re parting ways halfway through the season? What pushed the admin to make that choice? Seems dumb as hell to me. This team is not trying at all ????

Did TDavis make the trip? Rhetorical question.

It's like our starting five, no matter who they are at any given time, just called each other a few minutes before the game and just agreed to meet at the gym and play pickup basketball without practicing together or knowing the first thing about team work. It's the damnedest thing.

I was open to Kermit if LSU couldn't land someone like Will Wade. with the reputation LSU's athletic director has, I would have never guesses LSU could have gotten Wade.

The only thing against Davis is age (58), but he can still give you guys some great years. I know a former Johny Brady era player for LSU and said Davis was the x's and o's guy behind Brady's success
