SEC wouldn't sign off on something like that. Plus if your Kiffin and you hire him, a bad year or two and a lot of people would be calling for Freeze to take back over.

From what I read Freeze is most likely one of the top paid Group of 5 HC's after his contract extension, and is possibly making as much or more at Liberty as Lane is making at OM

Funny as I mentioned a week or so ago can you imagine a world where Kiffin is HC, Freeze is OC, and MM is DC? It sounds like it may have almost panned our that way... What could they have had dinner over? Weird.

Liberty is a money making machine but hey aren't paying freeze 3.9 million a year and not close. Probably close to half.

Lane getting some insight for in state recruiting. Probably asking Freeze where OM had the best chance to re-establish some relationships.

If it's anything more than just some general chit chat I'd be disappointed. I'd like to see Freeze disassociated and no link to program. No contact with current OM employees and not allowed on OM property.

If Kiffin wants to talk to him, let Kiffin talk to him. I doubt that if this occurred that it was unsolicited. It's not like KC set up a play date for the current and former HC's.

Don't you find it odd that he still keeps popping up at Ole Miss? What other head coach keeps coming around after he's fired for violations? I'm with you that they were not all that nefarious

ETA: We shouldn't expect to see 2019 Plumlee in 2020.

I hope this is correct, but I just do not know if that is possible. Can someone give me a good example to wrap my mind around where this has happened in the past?

I just cant think of any good examples where running QB's have successfully become good passers.

He still has a house in Oxford. Kiffin probably reached out just to pick his brain a bit. I have no issue with that

Its not going to happen. Especially when Plumlee won't be taking part in spring practice. When he shows back up after the spring, he will necessarily be 3d on the depth chart. at that point he can stick to baseball or accept a different roll.

Apparently Freeze was in town to sell his house and he ran into Kiffin at the restaurant. They spoke for a few minutes and then left.

This is true. Lane doesn’t like the two sport deal. Reason for Ashford decomitting. Plumlee will be used in more of the slot/wildcat type. And Plumlee is ok with that. That’s just some words from a GA that’s been there. And as far as the Freeze meeting was just coincidental and offered any advice. Have heard every Luke has been welcoming and willing to help while they are around. Even before Matt accepted his new position that he was ok with it. Said it was kind of like a relief after the first initial part of being let go. Hearing nothing but positive things from the whole team. I think they are all aboard the Lane Train.

As always I say this is just from a phone convo and I never stand beside to say it’s facts. Sounds reasonable though.

Also McRebel42!!! Did you see me call you out buddy or what? Dang good to see you back! I used to have the sn of I believe it was OleRebel42 back in 2012-2013. Anyways good to see this is bringing everyone back out. And just in time for Flipmas
