They destroyed MRA last week at MRA (58-32 but it was worse than the score shows) and they beat Prep 48-13 tonight on the road. It looks like grown men playing against little kids. When the hell did they get so good?

Let me know when they beat a good 4A or 5A team.

I guarantee they probably could. Private schools in Mississippi aren't like they were 10 years ago. MRA beat the Texas 4A state champion last year when Deion Sanders was their offensive coordinator. They're also scheduled to be on ESPN 2 this year.

Greenville Christian is obviously very good, but I do not care at all for their business model.

Greenville area baws I’m sure are handling it well that little Johnny’s playing time is disappearing with all the recruiting taking place.

MPSA used to be where you went when you couldn’t get playing time at your public school

Well, in a few cases yes, but as much or more about where you sent little Johnny when the public school in your district wasn't worth a shite.

They’re being fed players from about 5 delta high schools. Basically when the season was canceled last year because of COVID, all of these players transferred (or were recruited) there to keep playing.

That makes sense.

That’s crazy. They started recruiting kids my senior year. They were a joke until then.

So Greenville now has 3 high school football teams now. Hard to believe. That’s a tiny town for all of them. Jackson Prep is circling around the drain. That once prominent program will be average.

Really? They’ve certainly grown up since I was there. We made the state championship in football my junior and senior year, lost both but won my freshman year of college.

But we only had 49 students graduating my senior year.

Ricky Black retiring is going to be a program killer for them. Coach Davis is turning MRA into a monster so they will be the dominant program from Jackson over the next decade or so

Yeah the final was like 39-7. They hired some random dude from Tennessee with absolutely no connection to the program. For having so much pride in their academics and athletics, that was a dumb as shite hire. There's no way he's back next year unless they win out.

Yea GCS did a little recruiting. They don't look like a typical private school team anymore

Greenville Christian is currently hanging with Georgia 7A powerhouse Collins Hill 9-6 at halftime on the road. Someone told me Collins Hill is ranked #7 in the nation.

This team has no business playing private schools at this point

St Joe is decent too. Considering how small the town is. Trashy though. Taunting every play and no flags.
