we’ll play at night in BR every year because “there’s just something special about a night game in Death Valley” but Heaven forbid we get a night game in Oxford.

Wow, so you’re telling me the one time that played a night game at VHS against Kiffin they lost?

No. I’m telling you that you’re wrong they never play rivalry road games at night. They do quite frequently.

Let it go bro. We have no control over the schedule.

For one, our game needs to go back to Halloween or the weekend before Thanksgiving and stay there rather than this movement across the schedule. Still feels weird playing in September.

We have already had 2 night games this year. That's two more than last season.

It was a 2:30pm game on ABC.

The only night game we played against an SEC opponent last year was as LSU.

Lane is saying Simmons will start the Tulane game:

If he throws another pick in the 1st quarter, he needs to be benched.

The UGA game was the 2:30 PM ABC game.

We've only had a handful of conference night games.

Conference Game Kickoff Time Under Kiffin
Morning (before noon) - 10 (4 in 2024)
Afternoon (before 6:00 PM) - 15
Night (6:00 PM or later) - 16 (1 in 2024)

The 2023 LSU game began at 5:00 PM, interestingly enough. That's close enough to consider it to be a night game, IMO, although it was very bright sunshine when the game started, and darkness when it ended.

Simmons isn't playing. This is just Lane being Lane and forcing Tulane to prep against both QBs

I said it last week, whatever lane says about injuries, the truth is the opposite. Maybe he’ll have Simmons hand off the first play so the SEC doesn’t fine him lol

Agree. I'm just salty about the notion that we're getting an afternoon start because Alabama and Georgia and Oregon and PSU are playing the night games. Well.....wasn't a problem to get a night game last year for us but it was at LSU, and they always get their way.

that’s more so the point I’m making. I get that nothing anyone on here says will change anything, but it’s just ridiculous that LSU always gets their way at home when it comes to scheduling yet we get the shaft the majority of the time.

LSU is kind of funny. When they have a home day game, you can be guaranteed that 20% of the seats will be empty. I swear the TV execs just do it (night games) for the better backdrop of a full crowd.

If he's well by the time we play LSU and he fricks around with the ball, LSU's defense is going to Lagway his arse.

The in-stadium experience at the Vaught has come a long ways since the Pete Boone days...

shite it’s come along ways since Lane was first hired. I have friends who are State fans that say their kids choose to go to Ole Miss games because they’re more fun.

Pete Boone would have a heart attack watching that. Fireworks, at night? Everyone knows we are supposed to have fireworks in the middle of the day with 20k people watching and half the stadium’s electricity being knocked out by it.

Amen. LSU-Ole Miss in September is a fricking disgrace. Never mind how hot I’m sure it is. It was bizarre playing Florida in week 3 but not having our game Halloween weekend is a joke.

Going to be another insane magnolia bowl. I truly think LSU is better in all three units (when Nuss is healthy) but I thought the same about Ole Miss last season, and that typically has nothing to do with the outcome of this game
