Yeah I’ve never seen an offensive line improve so drastically during a game. The first quarter they looked like complete arse

Makes me think there may be hope for them yet.

Yeah, the offensive line went from complete arse to dominating …. pretty impressive. I thought there were a lot of positives to take away from that game. We spotted them 10 points on the road and still came back in won. I’m not saying we’re a top five team but we are def a lot tougher than last year .

Between tough and talented, ill take tough.
Most coaches will tell you (ask Bianco) that it wasn't the most talented team they ever had that delivered a championship. It was the one that scrapped it together and stepped up in big moments.
This isn't a championship team. But I would rather watch them play their balls off than watch a team with 5 first rounders underperform.

So far this year I miss pooh on D and Darts ill advised fk-it head first QB runs.
It is nice to have an actual bona fide running game despite shaky o line play and terrible play calling. If Diggs would just step up his game he and Lacey would be a nasty tandem.
My take on Kentucky was that we won because they mostly beat themselves and by mostly I mean a lot. I am happy to win any sec game on the road for any reason but I think this team is overconfident when I have seen no reason for this attitude. Kiffin seems to be drinking that koolaid as well.
Arkansas is not going to be a Kentucky game and could deliver a very cold water wake up call this weekend. I hope I am wrong but other than last year, this game always comes down to the wire even when we are objectively good.
I freely admit that I am still traumatized by the ghost of what should have been 2015 .

We’ve got to stop running Simmons like we did Dart.

What, on earth, has given you that impression?
I think the truth is that this team is underconfident but fights hard. All of the mistakes of the 1st quarter seemed to iron themselves out. I don't know if that was due to coaching or the players themselves. Even our DL seemed to get into the swing and was able to get penetration through the "big blue wall" OL of Kentucky. I don't think that some people understand how good Kentucky's lines are.

It’s mind blowing to watch us call designed Simmons runs after he tweaked his ankle early in the game. Just fricking wild.

Blame me. I had just commented before that drive at how I didn’t notice any problems with playcalling all game and thought they did a decent job. Then we come out with two runs up the gut against the strongest part of their defense and a hobbled QB run that took him out of the game.

Every single fricking time we do that “QB hands on the shoulders of the guards before he pushes them to rush up to the line” shite, you know it’s a run up the gut that is going to get stuffed.
That pisses me off so fricking much. It makes zero sense why we do that other than “it looks cool”

Just curious? I understand that the shear number of wins is important but what do you consider CLK's top two signature wins at Ole Miss? For me it's:
1. Georgia (2025) clearly
2. ?? Maybe
a Tenner in 2021 --one of the more enjoyable wins notwithstanding the horrific # of in game defensive injuries LOL
b LSU 2023
But I think CHF still has CLK beat:in this department:
1. Defeated National Champion Alabama 2014
2. Defeated National Champion Alabama 2015

We beat Kentucky when they were #7 in 2022.

Perhaps I should have defined signature victory - meaning a win that holds significant importance for a team, program, or fanbase, often remembered for its impact, context, or historical relevance. These victories often become part of a program’s lore, celebrated for years and shaping its identity.
I have a hard time getting past #1 on your list.

Last year notwithstanding, Lane Kiffin is pretty good about winning the games he's supposed to, but rarely pulls off the big upset. Part of that is he seems to struggle in those games, and part of that is how far he's elevated us so we have fewer opportunities to pull off a major upset.
Hugh Freeze was a master at pulling off upsets, but we'd give those wins right back to Memphis, Arkansas, Vandy, etc. For better or worse, any game under Freeze could go either way. Lane is far more consistent - the lows are not nearly as low but we do not pull off the improbable upsets nearly as much.
