What the hell is going on with Mississippi high school recruiting this year? Of the top 20 prospects, only 5 are headed to either us or MSU at the moment. All of the others have either committed to an out of state school or are projected to.

It's a Cause and Effect situation.
We have more of a national reach than ever. So we're just less likely than ever to be focused on local kids. It used to be that we would brag about getting "7 of the 12 Dandy Dozen" or whatever. Now we might only be interested in 3 or 4 of those guys.
And the reason that most of them aren't going to State is because it's basically a dumpster fire program. They've pretty much given up on football and are just using football money to fund baseball and basketball where they have a chance of being relevant.

Losing Alex brown and kelvin bolden in consecutive days hurts. Those were two key members of our recruiting efforts and had a lot of ties to high schools.

I don't really follow staff changes but that seems pretty close to football season to be switching jobs? I can't imagine Kiffin is very happy.

I am not much of a film guy but the clips I saw of Deuce were really impressive. He’s way underrated.
Honestly after Austin Thomas and Bolden, Kelly and Kiffin should just get this over with and fight in the sonic parking lot. I would imagine the hatred is running pretty deep right now. And thank god for Austin Thomas as he has saved Kelly’s time at lsu. Kelly was managing LSU like a fricking third grader until Thomas cleaned the staff and roster management

We also picked up a sleeper in Jett Goldsberry. Multisport athlete that will probably play in our secondary. Dudes quick and violent and plays very instinctively… love his tape

Deuce is probably a few inches of height away from being a 5 star. He’s gonna be a monster wherever he goes
