Boys, can you imagine what today and tomorrow would have been like in Oxford had we only taken the points and beaten Kentucky and/or Florida? Perfect football weather forecast, a national audience, etc., etc. What a damn shame not to mention a colossal missed opportunity.

I just went back and looked at what the scores would have been if we had just completed drives in the games we lost.

We beat UK 28-13
We beat LSU 48-23
We beat Florida 38-24

What a fricking failure.

Charlie Weis, Jr. doesn't know what this is.

How about if we would have completed 39% (league average) of our 3rd down conversions in the Kentucky and Florida games? For the record, our third down conversion rate was 59th in the nation and was as follows at Kentucky and Florida:

Kentucky 1-10 (10%)
Florida 3-14 (21%)

Watching the missing link of our offense run wild tonight is fricking brutal.

Meh. Still wouldn’t take him back. We’re better off without him causing issues in the locker room.

He has been pedestrian at best this season

I do agree with you, but I also think he would have gotten one of those key 3 or 4th down that would sealed the games that we lost.

But man the dude was a pain.

Just watching him get tough yards especially on that early TD run reminded me of what we didn’t have on offense this season. Too bad his mom was a piece of work.

4 games in and I haven’t seen a playoff team better than our roster this year.

We had a legitimate shot at a semifinal/national championship and decided to keep our best rb on the bench all season and missed the playoffs completely
At this point I’m half convinced it’s just not ever meant to be for us

Our roster was immaculate. Our coaching staff unbelievably arrogant. If they actually cared as much as the players obviously do, they wouldn’t have lost 3 games. The literal adults in the room didn’t put in the same work as 18-22 year olds.

Our Defense is as good as anyone’s in the playoff. Our offense is as talented as anyone, but the coaching could have us losing to anyone.

I would have ole miss as high as five right now if they were to re-rank.

I’m conflicted because I hate the inevitable death of college football but the ACC and Big 12 have gotten so terrible, not even mentioning the PAC 12’s timeline.

Keith needed to take Kiffins phone away yesterday. He needs to shut the hell up with the bitching and do some serious reflection on why he just went 9-3 with the best roster he’s ever had. He had national media dunking on our program yesterday on a day when we didn’t even play a game.

I care. He looks like a silly bitch.
Complaining about getting left out when the committee he loves to clown on had us ranked high enough to be in the playoffs on November 23rd.

Listened to Bradley Sowell on Spirit Ben’s podcast yesterday and he pretty diagnosed what went wrong with this team.

The team was mentally weak.
Every time they got challenged and punched in the mouth in close games they backed down. This reflects on the coaching staff period. Having soft spring and fall camps. Constantly stroking their egos telling them how great they are.
Playing into the idea that we would just waltz into the natty unchallenged.

And then when things got tough they collapsed because they had no mental fortitude. Look at the captain of the team after every loss. Head down moping around nearly crying. That’s not a fricking leader. He was literally crying on the sidelines in the Florida game when he had to go back in the next play. That’s not a leader you follow into battle.

They took on the persona of our head coach who is an emotionally unstable shite talking pussy.

Silver lining is that is who Kiffin is and every program who could steal him away knows this too.

Told an LSU buddy the same thing after they beat us. Kiffin is a great OC but doesn’t seem to be a very good leader and as a result our team isn’t as mentally tough as other elite teams. Hopefully he continues to evolve but as silly, funny and pithy as his tweets can be, they are a symptom of an underlying problem that bleeds into the locker room.
