If we're not going to the playoffs I'd at least rather go somewhere cool. I don't care if it is a lower tier bowl Las Vegas is way better than the Music City or any Florida bowl.

I’ve seen us projected to the Gator or Citrus Bowl. Historically solid bowls.

Hype is interesting. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding year but we got lucky with some key players returning while targeting the top players in the portal. We literally went from a rebuild to title contenders solely based on 3 weeks of buzz around “I’m coming back” and “ole miss signs the top portal class”. But we created the buzz and the national media ran with it.
Pretty much all of Golding’s pick ups hit. That wasn’t really the case on the offensive side of the ball.
Juice sucked. Deion Smith never made it. OL recruits were average at best. RB’s were such a joke that our feature back was a guy who was 3rd string his first time at Ole Miss.
We scored 17 points against Georgia 10 points against Bama and 17 points against State in 2023 and returned pretty much the same offense this season. Arguably a worse offense without Judkins. So kinda wild people were expecting such different results on offense in SEC play solely based on hype.
TLDR: If ole miss is ever gonna make a playoff run it’s not gonna be as the preseason favorites. We’re gonna back door it.

Florida State probably paid way, way too much. Kiffin said that he's not doing that for HS kids. It's too risky and too much money for an unproven player.
