I don’t really think anyone’s gonna care. This season is a massive failure . From playoffs to the Vegas bowl.
Doubt anyone’s gonna bother with bulletin board material, just better find enough people to play the game

Agreed - it was playoffs or bust. I bet a bunch of players opt out for whatever bowl game we end up in. All 3 of our losses were against much less talented teams where our coaching failed us. Such a disappointing season.

Lane has a ton of work to do in the portal to replace all of the contributors for this season and he has got to make staff changes on the offensive side.

^^^

What they said. We were sold a Ferrari. It’s what we bought and paid for. Then we found out that part of its motor had been pulled. Then we put CWJ behind the wheel and he totaled it.

The energy from the crowd and on the field I saw on tv from the Egg Bowl said otherwise.

Comparing the last home game for a decorated and accomplished senior class against our heated and hated in state rival against a beyond meaningless bowl game against a lifeless team where most of our best players are either hurt or opting out.. not quite the same thing

Mason Dunn has officially signed. Glad we were able to keep him - Bama was coming on very hard.

But who cares about a meaningless Egg Bowl though right? It’s a meaningless game. That was the narrative on this board about the egg bowl the entire week leading up to it.

It’s quite possible other people and players don’t share the same thoughts on this as you do. This is the last game for many of our stars who aren’t guys like Walter Nolan guaranteed high draft picks. An additional game against named competition like USC can help the draft stock of a lot of players.

And the fans that can’t get excited about a trip to Vegas to see the Rebs play the Trojans are pussies.

The only reason I would be somewhat excited is because you know Kiffin is going to be motivated to run the score up and beat their asses.

If it was against Colorado I would want to decline it because I don’t want the risk of being on highlights showing “Prime” getting his 10th win against an SEC school. That would do more harm to our brand than good.

No I definitely recall other posters saying they expected the players to come out flat and not care because transfers don’t care about the egg bowl.

I predicted we'd go 9-3. I never would've guessed the 3 losses. No one could've. The biggest question marks were at RB and would the Oline be able to gel. In our biggest games those positions really struggled. On a macrolevel what Lane has done here is unreal. I can't remember a time in my life where a 10 win Ole Miss football season would be a disappointment. On a microlevel, you have to find a way to go 10-2 with this roster and the schedule you were gifted. Even with our inconsistent play we had 2 full weeks to get a ready for a do or die game against a Florida team that has really struggled at times this season. We went down there and absolutely laid an egg. That's on both the coaches and players.

Even though the Kentucky game was the worst loss……the Florida loss was the most inexcusable.

Our dogshit OOC early season schedule made it easy for us to be sleepwalking thinking Kentucky was going to just roll over.

There was no reason at all to lose to Florida. None.

Thread on the rant just made me realize the dipshit scheduling ends up with us having to play UGA for a third year in a row and twice at their house.

frick.

Does not look like any of the three in-state guys we were reportedly working hard to flip have signed yet, fingers crossed

I’m a lot less concerned after watching Simmons.

I will be even a lot less concerned if we can get him to stop playing baseball. The last fricking thing we need is him needing TJ surgery.

I don’t follow recruiting very closely, but that always seemed like it was going to be the outcome. They need him a lot more than we do, and I’m sure the money they offered reflected that.

Hate to see Auburn get him but QB’s are staying in school longer now due to NIL and the leagues lack of interest in developing them so Simmons is probably our starter for the next 3 years. Maybe we can get Knight the second time around when Auburn fires Freeze’s bum arse after another losing season.
