Maybe. Maybe not. Wasn’t worth it to find out since he was a locker room cancer

So elite and worth the $900k in NIL he was demanding after being a locker room cancer all year.

HAVE A BACK UP PLAN!!!!!!!!!!

We aren’t pouring $40M into our program every year for Matt Jones to take significant snaps in SEC games.
It’s inexcusable.

Judkins with his distractions wouldn’t have helped this team

It’s also possible that you swallow your pride, pay him, and hope for the best. Teams do it all the time.

How do y’all think Judkins (and his mama) would have reacted to the mostly crappy run blocking this year?

It’s almost like they are professional athletes now and should be able to handle playing with people they don’t like ESPECIALLY when they are making more money than almost every fan in the stands.

And if Judkins caused a rift in the locker room, then you have a team chemistry issue where it could cause more issues. There’s a reason he was let go. It wasn’t just Dart and couple of players who had issues with him and his attitude. We likely would have lost a few more players to the portal if he stayed

these players are getting paid now. They can put their differences aside for a few hours every Saturday to win a football game, which at the end of the day is what they are being paid to do.

Our defense has been awesome this season, and our offense has really let them down. We have not given up more than 31 points all season. If you told me that in August I would assume we were undefeated.

In games where the defense holds the opponent below 20 points we are 7-0. But if the other team scores 20+ we are only 1-3 with the win being against Arkansas who scored 21 of their points in garbage time down 4 scores. Inexcusable.

That is Nebraska offense levels of suck.

The offense has definitely been the major disappointment this year. Inexcusable only scoring 17 against Florida and Kentucky. We had no business losing either of those games but we kept inventing new ways to shoot ourselves in the foot.

I think some of y’all are forgetting just how toxic he was last year, especially at the end of the season. Just look up the peach bowl “highlights” if you don’t believe that most of the o-line and Dart had issues with him. He had a significant drop off from his freshman production and there were several instances where we here were questioning whether or not he was even trying.

Add in the rumors of him refusing to play unless he gets a bigger contract, after already agreeing to an improved deal, and I don’t see how anyone could say he needed to stay.

And just for everyone saying he’d win us games this year, judkins has just two 100 yard games on the season. Both came in September. Against Marshall (110th ranked rush defense) and WMU (111th rush defense). In 3 of his last 5 games he has 36 yards or fewer, with his highest average ypc of those games being 2.9. Including a massive 11 carry, 32 yard output against known powerhouse Purdue (1-10) who has the 114th ranked rush defense in America.

Judkins would not solve our problems this season. Having an actual big bodied SEC caliber back would have. Although even if we had that Kevin smith probably wouldn’t play him so who knows

There are over 100 players on college rosters. You’re not going to get along with every person on that team but again, they are getting paid large sums of money now. You put that shite aside to get the job done.

He’s splitting snaps with a RB who is better than him. Now why he chose to go to a team that already had an established elite back is beyond me. Other than the obvious reason $.

Judkins is an SEC caliber back. The past two seasons prove that.

There are contract disputes and hold outs on every team across every professional sport every year. And let’s not kid ourselves, that’s what big time college football has now become.

I do kind of wish the staff would have given Perkins a shot at RB. But with how good he has been on defense, I do understand.

Bottom line. If we had Judkins OR a similar back this season we are undefeated and ranked #1 in the country. Just lmfao man.

Regardless of judkins what the hell is the real answer with the Bentley ordeal?

Our two toughest games we had going into this year in everyone’s mind, at LSU at night and against Georgia. He has double digit carries and looks good in both games.

If the stat line yesterday was Bentley 11 carries for 27 yards I’d really have no complaints. It’d be like hell we gave it our best try and lost a tough road game to Florida in the swamp. I just don’t get the reasoning of heading into that matchup and thinking a 180 pound wide receiver was our best option to tote the rock on running plays

The most WAOM part of it all is that it’s not even on personnel . Bentley is a great back, Parrish is a decent back, and Amos was a 1000 yard back last year. We have the personnel to have a decent ground game and think about this, other than Nick Broeker, our entire starting O-line from 2022( when we lead the sec and were top 3 in the country in rushing yards) is still on the roster. They’re two years older, and three of them are 6 year seniors and they’ve somehow reverted to being unable to run block and got passed over by one year transfers that also can’t run block. The only thing that’s changed since 2022 is we re-hired Smith at RB and Garrison at OL(Garrisons lines at NC State were known to be deficient at run blocking). Horrible coaching is why we have no run game.

Horrible coaching on the offensive side of the ball is solely to blame for this season's failures. Defense held up their end of the bargain every single game.

People act like Bill Belichick would have been able to run the ball with Matt Jones and Ulysses Bentley lmfao.

Not picking up Damian Martinez sealed the fate for this season.

Not that it matters, but I’m so insanely tired of ap voters from the north and Midwest (big10 country) having extreme biases against SEC teams, us in particular.
This dude Stephen means might be the most idiotic “journalist” I’ve ever seen, he’s been doing it all year. Call me crazy but I genuinely think it’s a racial thing for this dude. I just wish someone would call these voters out and get them off the ballots. LINK

Well when we consistently lose as double digit favorites to unranked teams, we lose the benefit of the doubt of bitching that we get no respect

Don’t let it get to you. It’s irrelevant anyway.
