Georgia will jump us with a win over Tenn probably. Then the question is whether they drop Tenn below us. If it's a close loss they might not.

Considering we destroyed Arkansas, I think we’ll be ahead of them. if they’re ahead of us that is malpractice.

And we crushed Arkansas. I’m more worried about UT’s win over Bama who the committee clearly thinks is peaking.

I don’t think we have anything to worry about. Literally everyone I’ve listened to has said “if Ole Miss wins out, they are in”

I can think of some situations where we would be screwed - but all are unlikely.

If both the ACC and Big 12 get two teams in we are out. However, that is very unlikely. BYU and/or SMU both taking a loss in the regular season would eliminate that possibility.

Deion Smith is apparently getting his academics straightened out this semester and plans on enrolling in January.( I’ll believe it when it happens)
Juice Wells has another year of eligibility and may be tempted to use it.
Then you’ve got Cayden Lee. We’ve got a good chance of being absolutely loaded at WR again next year.

Lol if anyone advises him to do otherwise, they hate his guts and want nothing but the worst for him.

Anyone have any ideas on other players we might flip or get in this hs class? I think Duce Knight is just increasing his NIL package with Auburn, but if so I'd rather put the focus into Ryder Lyons for the 2026 class. That 2026 class could be incredible if we get him and lock down the top talent from Mississippi that year.

Personally I’m not big on Knight. He reminds me a lot of Craig Drummond. I don’t think he’s going to pan out in college. Let Freeze have him

O I think he could be really damn good after sitting for a year or 2 but I think he knows he can compete for the Auburn job right away and Freeze can't afford to lose him. I think Simmons has shown enough that he looks to be the guy for at least the next 2 years and it's hard to ask guys to come in and sit for 2 years now. Would love to get him though, but I think Auburn will pay whatever necessary to keep him.

We better sign a good QB in this class because Austin Simmons has NFL written all over him. He’s going to have NFL scouts going crazy over him next year.

Simmons has already graduated right now. 1 good year and he is gone. We need someone in the is class to learn a year and be ready for 2026.

Why am I hallucinating? I thought Simmons was a redshirt freshman?

He's 19 years old

Simmons and his family seem very focused on what is best for his long term development. He skipped his junior and senior seasons of high school and hasn't played much yet at ole Miss. 1 year as a starter in college isn't going to be enough. I think he and his family will know it's best for his long term development to get more experience in college and like someone said, he's only 18 or 19 years old right now.

Right but he graduated high school a year early and enrolled early. I’m almost positive he has already graduated based on an episode of the season from earlier this year.

So he's graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in November of his second year? While playing football and baseball? At 19 years old?

He must be like an academic prodigy or something?

Nah I must have miss heard. He hasn’t graduated. I just looked at the graduate list.

But kids that graduate early take a bunch of online classes and usually show up with a good number of college credits.

But I was wrong. I’ll own that one.
