These polls are not the one that matters. That being said, we should be ranked lower than we are. Both of our losses lost this weekend. We have no ranked wins. May as well just sit back and see what happens and not expect anything.

I suspect the CFP will be similar to ESPN's power index poll:

Maybe the entire season was a ruse to trick Georgia knowing it’s the only real game we had on our schedule.
And we come out and run an entirely different offense that night lol.

I think there are some who would actually believe this. But in the end we’re just going to come out and run the same generic offense we have all season.

I don’t doubt or put it past Lane he figured UK would be an easy win and held back on some of the more “elaborate” playcalling / underestimated their defense. But I can’t imagine we held back all that much against LSU esp in the 2nd half. I agree that there won’t be much of a difference against Georgia. Expect Parrish to get 75% of the touches and us to frequently set ourselves up for 3rd and 10+ due to sacrificing a play every set of downs running Parrish up the middle for no gain. I saw a jet sweep finally called in the LSU game, that made me happy even though it went for no gain.

This staff and its approach certainly has been headscratching this season. I went from pretty big Lane supporter going back to his SC days to completely neutral now. Stay, leave. I don’t give a shite. Win a big fricking game. Like a legit game that truly matters. I thought we turned a corner coming back against a Heisman led LSU with two elite NFL WR studs (Nabers and Thomas Jr.). Somehow even with a better roster this year, this team found a way to regress. It reminds me of some of the “prima donna” rosters USCw used to field like when they got curbstomped against Alabama years ago. Dart’s Utah ex having the last laugh, dude has been so mid this year. And it’s not just the offensive line play. He has hesitated a lot of times in critical situations.

Just got back from a wedding out west which thank God I was distracted mostly on Saturday as it just seems like nothing much has changed.

Arkansas kickoff will be 11am. Also, Tylon Lee flips from UCF to Ole Miss.

Oh well.

Kinda shittey by the league but it’ll be dark in the 3rd quarter with the time change and the tv timeouts and halftime and faked injuries

Looking across the league, we're not the only ones without a night conference game. It is certainly frustrating, because night games are a big benefit to the home team.

It's really frustrating because there is one particular team (LSU) that seems to get to play almost every game at night, regardless if it is home or away.

They get 5 SEC night games this year (3 at home, 2 on the road).

Kiffin has said they prefer the early games so I do wonder if the teams themselves get any input. 2:30 games have always been my preference. You can sleep in a little and still get to the grove with plenty of time to tailgate. As a student you still had time after the game to go to the bars and as an adult I can get back home before it's too late. Would have preferred for the Kentucky or Oklahoma games to be at 6 but with the time change this weekend the 2nd half will still be at night so any fireworks, drone shows, etc... our marketing team puts together can still be done and have that nighttime atmosphere.

As sad as this is to say, I don't think our nighttime atmosphere is the competitive advantage other teams have. By halftime of those late games a decent portion of the students are too drunk to stand and some are ready to leave early to get to The Library before a cover charge. Pretty sure the Bama game where we had gameday was at 2:30.

He needs to STFU. We always play like trash in the early games. Always. I don't care what he thinks.

Last season proves you 100% wrong. That place rocked at night and everyone stayed for the entirety of the games. I remember hearing both LSU and Arkansas fans talk about our atmosphere being crazy. Arkansas fans were really jealous of it.

I wasn't there but it looked and felt bananas on tv.

I was in a sports bar somewhere in a suburb north of Denver. And there were probably 30 tvs in the place and 25 of them were on Ole Miss LSU. The whole bar was into it. You would have thought we were in Mississippi.

Speaking of which: Why can't we bring back Ole Miss vs LSU on or near Halloween night? I want that game on the Thur, Fri, or Sat night closest to Halloween every year. With full costumes, day drinking, and absolute Level 10 weirdness. I want it to be what the college football world does on Halloween every year. It would be beyond epic. But no one even talks about it anymore.

We should opt out due to Covid or something

The amount of people from both teams not playing bc they’re going pro or transferring will make that game absolutely unwatchable .
